About this property
Private 18th Century Farmhouse in Virginia Wine Country with Hot Tub
Hidden on its own private lane, this 18th century farmhouse gives guests the chance to experience the past. Laurel Hill Farm was originally built in 1762 with several additions in the following centuries. The house has been restored and updated to include modern amenities. Among the charming period features are hand blown glass windows, exposed brick walls, original wide board pine floors, all of which are blended seamlessly with updated baths and a modern kitchen. Located in Loudoun wine and horse country, off paved Hamilton Station Road, this property includes 30 acres of rolling Blue Ridge farmland in Waterford. Nearby attractions include over 30 wineries and breweries within ten miles, a less than a seven mile drive from the heart of Leesburg and a 25 minute drive to Harper's Ferry. Other unique attributes are a murmuring stream emanating from a stone spring house, an 1824 stone barn, and an outdoor patio with hardscape lighting.
Horseback riding lessons available upon request! Rate is $65 per hour lesson.

Fantastic property and fun historic home.Stunning property that we all enjoyed. The home is historic and while older/historic has all the modern amenities you expect. Kitchen is extremely well equipped compared to other VRBOs . Beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub -they even supplied pool towels for that. Bathrooms were updated nicely as well.
We had a great time during our friend family wine weekend. The house was well appointed with everything we needed. We made some wonderful steaks on the grill during our first night.
Beautiful house, beautiful property, and beautiful area. Two families enjoyed our stay walking around the farm and waking up to the cows. We prepared and ate most of our meals in the kitchen- plenty of room for cooks, helpers, and hungry family members. Our adult children had to work on line and the wifi held up nicely. Any questions and concerns were answered quickly and we were made to feel most welcome.
Property is as advertised. Great for adults, not as great for families with kids as furnishings are very high end and fragile. Hosts were very attentive to our needs
The place is beautiful and spacious! There was absolutely zero issue and communication was great from the beginning. We had guests there for a wedding, and we could not have asked for more. We would highly recommend and use again in the future.
We spent 3 nights and attended a family wedding at Landsdown Resort about 15 minutes away. I’m so glad we stayed at Laurel Hill. It was so peaceful and had everything we needed.
This property is fantastic. It is a charming farmhouse on a working farm. Everything described in the listing is correct and the hosts couldn't have been better. They checked on us and ensured everything ran smoothly.
Our stay was above and beyond our expectations! The house and grounds were rich with history. The amenities met all of our needs. The hosts were welcoming and gracious. We appreciated our conversations with the hosts and learning about Quaker culture and experiencing new kinds of syrups and eggs. It became our home away from home for the weekend. I would give it a 5!
Exactly what we needed to celebrate the holidays with our family. Plenty of room to spread out and relax inside or on the beautiful patio by the fire pit. The ladies had a chance to visit a local winery. Overall the property had the 3 C’s. Clean, comfortable and close to shops. All of our needs were tended to proactively.
This is a place we will keep coming back to for years to come. Greg and especially the local crew are fantastic. Everything is always just perfect. I always appreciate the little odds and ends they have on site, like coffee 😀. Thanks again. Great time!
Upon arrival to the property, we were immediately intrigued and impressed by this historical home and felt as if we had been transported to another time. You can tell the owners have put immense effort to make this house as inviting as possible while preserving all the original character. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances and everything we could possibly need, and the beds were comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Wonderful location close to attractions but very much secluded feel on beautiful farmland. The house was owrfecr fir our family and had everything we needed. Host was kind enough to provide firewood and nade us feel right at home. We woukd definitely stay here again when in the area and would love to come back in the fall. Beds were very comfortable as well. Our kids enjoyed the animals. Overall 5/5 in every category
We visited the farm during Easter with our extended family, 6 adults and 3 kids. We loved our stay and want to come back! The house is great. We loved the history of it. It is fully stocked and the sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. The setting is beautiful and we all enjoyed the animals. The delicious farm fresh eggs were a great addition. The hosts were great and very attentive when needed. We visited a number of great wineries and breweries in the area. Some favorites were Walsh Family Winery, Bluemont Station Brewery and Winery, and Hillsborough Vineyards and Brewery. We also took a nature walk from the mill in Waterford to the dam. It was an easy walk with a rewarding view of the dam at the end. We had a great stay at the house and can’t wait to plan our next trip!
