Glamorous lake house on a mountain lake in upstate New York (max of 8 guests)

Eagle’s Landing Lake House is a newly renovated and uniquely furnished and decorated four bedroom, two bathroom rental home which is in operation twelve months a year. The home is decorated in a whimsical combination of Adirondack style/mountain theme with the addition of nautical as well as Victorian elements. Thompson’s Lake is a clear, spring fed mountain lake located in the Helderberg Mountain range of upstate New York. The lake is 2.5 miles long and the deepest area of the lake is 60 feet. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The lake is relatively private although there is a New York State Park at the end of the lake. Eagle’s Landing does provide our guests with eight different kayaks, two standing paddle boards, three paddle boats, two row boats and two canoes. Life preservers as well as paddles and oars are readily available for our guests. (We are dog friendly so life preservers are also available for your canine family members)✨ The home, including all four bedrooms and the den, boasts knotty pine walls and ceilings made of southern pine with cedar wood beams. We have two resident bald eagles on the lake which often hunt for fish from our tall pine trees facing the lake. Winter, spring and fall are also wonderful months to visit Eagle’s Landing for leaf peeping, cross country snow skiing and snowshoeing, ice fishing, hiking and snow mobiling. We provide all bedding, high end glass and dish ware as well as cooking utensils. We also have three balconies directly facing the lake, a stone fireplace and several outdoor fire pits and chimneas. We own the building lots on each side of our Lakehouse so our location is very private and reminiscent of a state park. Due to the fact that we use a well for water and have a septic system, we strongly hold to the policy that the maximum number of guests is eight. (Please know that children need to be counted in your total when adding up your guests) Thank you, in advance, for adhering to this policy as our goal is to offer you and your party a wonderful and comfortable experience at the lake house. ✨

Kathy and John are the best hosts! This place is super well stocked and full of peace. The view is absolutely heaven on earth and the space is so cozy and inviting. You truly do feel at home away from home in this stunning place. We came here to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday and it was an absolute blast. Kathy worked with a friend of ours to make the weekend extra special and we were genuinely so touched by her kindness and generosity. If this place is available, you must book it. The beds were all extremely comfy and everything was outstanding. We can’t wait to book it again and have a fire and test out the kayaks next time. The pièce de résistance was definitely seeing all the bald eagles and hanging out on the awesome dock. Seeing the milkway at night and star gazing was the best! So many good memories made in such a short amount of time. Don’t pass this place up!!

We had the most amazing weekend! The little touches like fresh flowers, calzones in the fridge and little notes reflecting the fact they paid attention to why we were there for the weekend elevated our stay. The house and grounds were exactly what we were hoping for and made our stay with our family even more special. Highly recommend!

This house is luxurious, beautiful and best of all, very clean! The waterfront view is spectacular. We each had comfortable beds, and plenty of space to spread out. We loved the stocked kitchen to prepare our on meals and every amenity you could ever need is available. Kathleen was incredibly responsive and welcoming. Breathtaking state park nearby as well. We had a fabulous stay.

Beautiful lakeside Adirondack cabin with luxurious touches and lovely unique decor. Very charming, peaceful and relaxing, immaculate, spectacular Adirondack cabin! Excellent hosts who really care about making their guests' stays perfect!! The views alone are gorgeous, not to mention the magnificent eagle(s)! Beautiful vacation spot

We stayed 3 nights and loved it. The property is clean and roomy and there are a ton of watercraft and firepits. We were lucky enough to spot the local eagle a couple times as well. It's a fantastic vacation home!

Awesome Place

Lakeside delight

Very cozy regardless of the weather. It was rainy and windy the whole weekend but staying inside was just as good. My family loved it. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The lake home was totally renovated during the years 2019-2021. I would like people to know that I am a genuine “people person” and enjoy sharing our special lake home with others.

I believe that we have a very magical and magnificent property and I am very proud of Eagle’s Landing Lake House. We have 210’ feet of lake frontage on a private and pristine mountain lake in upstate New York. We often have a bald eagle (or two!) sit in our pine tree (lakeside) and many guests have written about that special event in their VRBO reviews.
