About this property

Bragg's Retreat a Family Retreat on Missionary Ridge & Pup's Paradise

Bragg's Retreat was built in 2022. The house is one story and located on the frontline of the Confederate Army in the Battle at Missionary Ridge in 1863. It was Bragg's final command. There is an old cedar fence post in the back yard that symbolizes when there were cattle graze in years gone bye. This 1260 sq. ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath is convenient to downtown, tourist attractions, shopping, and dining. The backyard is fully fenced with the gate on the driveway, for all you dog lovers. (My insurance does not allow Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, or Dobermans. They will not cover any mixed breeds with these in them.) The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result. The houses across the street from this rental need some love, but the tenants are great people and work and are good family folks.
Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

I grew up in Philadelphia, Tn on a small horse farm. I moved to Chattanooga to go to college and have stayed here since. Like kudzu my roots go 6 feet under.

Why they chose this property

I had this back tax property build for a vacation rental. I own the 2700 block of East 17th Street. I have been playing Monopoly in my neighborhood since 1983. There are 5 other short term rentals on the above block, Ridgedale Roost, Gray Gables, Kathy's Kottage ,Makin' Memories. The Playset is located at the 2700 E 17th Street.
