About this property

Ridgedale Roost. The exquisite home on Missionary Ridge.

Ridgedale Roost is a one story house built in 2019. Gray Gables is to the right and Kathy's Kottage is located to the left. It is close to downtown and easy to get anywhere with the interstate only miles away. The battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on these grounds...no ghosts! I have found bullets, shot, and cannon balls on the property. The large front porch is great for lounging. The back patio is where you can grill some burgers and listen to the birds singing. This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. It has quartz counter tops and is nicely decorated. I have made sure to have all the kitchen amenities in case you want to cook. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with your friends and family. I live across the street and the garden is located behind the "eyeball" wall. Feel free to wander the old 3 tiered garden and enjoy the downtown views while you sit on the bench and watch the goldfish swim in the Mermaid fountain pond. Listen to the sweet sound of the birds and watch the sunset behind Lookout Mountain as you let the stress leave you and remember days gone by. Dogs are welcome with a FENCED in back yard. My insurance will not allow Pit bulls, Rotwielers, Chows, or Dobermans, or of these in mixed breeds. There is a 2 dog limit, females most be sprayed. There is a firepit. I am not able to offer a military discount.
Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Check out is at 10am. Thanks for visiting us!
Put towels on washer.
Do a last walk thru to make sure you have all your possessions.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
2 dog limit. There is a no smoking or vaping policy in the house. You can smoke outside on the porch. $500 fee if you smoke inside in the house.
Please do not park on the grass, there is overflow parking across the street behind the playground.
Please let me know you are bringing your pet. No cats. Thanks

Birthday stay

Very clean and neat. Had everything we need and a lot more. First time in a VRBO or anything like it. Beats a fancy motel hands down. Will definitely stay there again next time.

Wedding Weekend

We stayed for just a few nights while celebrating my younger sister's wedding. It was a great location to downtown Chattanooga and a 5 minute drive from the rest of the bridal party. It was very cute and filled all of our needs. For sure want to plan a trip to return with our family to celebrate and visit Chattanooga again.

Wonderful stay

Really cute house and very comfortable. We sat out in the back yard and front porch every day. The fenced-in back yard backed up to greenery, so no one is behind you, and my dog loved being able to walk around there. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay

Girls weekend to attend Vintage Market Days and Rock City. We had a blast!! The house was perfect, so cute and relaxing!! Great location, close to where we wanted to be and on a quiet street. Can't wait to go back and take the dogs next time! Tammy was great too!

Short Drive to Downton Fun

Seasonally decorated comfortable property on Missionary Ridge. Fenced backyard for pets. Kind and thoughtful Host. Easy to find,close to I24. Will stay here for all trips to Chattanooga.

Great Trip

This is our second time staying with this host and it was as good as the last time! The location is great in a neighborhood that seems like it’s going through a transition with new construction. Located fifteen minutes from everything we wanted to do in Chattanooga (Chattanooga Choo Choo, Aquarium, Children’s Museum, Ruby Falls, anything downtown, etc.). We had a great trip and look forward to staying in these cottages again in the future!

Clean and just as described

The house was very clean and extremely well stocked. The owner was very helpful and seemed truly intent on our stay being enjoyable. There is a bit of noise from the interstate, but not so much as to be annoying. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

5 minutes from everything!

This house was perfectly position in town so that we were less than 5-10 minutes from everything we wanted to do. Tammy was an excellent host. Road noise was a little loud at times due to proximity to major road, but overall an excellent stay.

Sweet Visit

We had a sweet visit to this property. It is a small neighborhood that is very friendly and we had no problems the whole stay. The house was decorated for Christmas and it was very clean and festive. This is a good sized property and our family of 5 had plenty of room. There were even toys for our Granddaughter. We met the property owner who was a delight and made sure of our comfort and asked if we had any problems she could solve! We would definitely recommend this property.

Charming home

Tasteful house within easy driving to any major spots in Chattanooga. We loved the decor and the fenced yard for our dog. The travelers journal was a bonus to see what everyone else recommended. Having the menus and brochures on hand was great considering we ate out so much. Your sheets were some of the softest I’ve ever slept on!

I have lived in the neighborhood since 1978. I rented in the old house where the current one is and walked to work. Even in the snow! I own the majority of the street with long and short term rentals. I do live across the street where the yard games and gardens are located.

I had this specifically build for you! There are 2 other short term rentals on the block, Gray Gables and Kathy's Kottage, for big family events.

What makes this property unique

The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result.
