Makin' Memories What We Do Best, With Family and Your Tail Wagging Friends.

"Makin' Memories" Bungalow (1340 sq ft) was originally built in 1919 and was an original Mill House, (one level) also known as a Shotgun House. I has had numerous add-ons over the last 110 years. The house has been totally gutted and remodeled with new electric, plumbing, and all of that good stuff! The Battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on this property, located on a 2 block street. I have found bullets, cannon balls, and shot when digging in the flower beds. I even discovered an old tractor petal when it was a farm and cow pastures years ago. My insurance will not cover pit bulls, chows, Rottweilers, or dobermans, or any mixed breeds that have these three. I live across the street and behind my house the gardens are located. It is an old 3 tiered lot with 2 ponds. One pond has goldfish and a Mermaid fountain. Sit and relax and enjoy the birds, views of Downtown and listen to the splash of the water taking your stress far, far away. The sunsets are wonderful as the sun disappears behind Lookout Mountain. It is convenient to the downtown area and all the hospitals. There is a FULLY FENCED IN back yard for your (2)dogs with a pet fee. I am not able to offer military discounts. 2 miles to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. I own most of the neighborhood and still working on it. One lot at a time. It is in transition, but we all know each other. The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result.
Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

Great stay! The house was very cute and clean and had a nice view. The yard is fully fenced in, but our 42lb dog was able to hop over the end by the porch with ease, so keep an eye on your pups. He didn't run away and we kept the leash dangling afterwards and it all worked out

It was a very nice , comfortable place to stay. It was way too hot to enjoy sitting outdoors but it would be nice to do so. The yard was great for our dogs. All the details and descriptions are spot on. Very clean!!

For us travelling with a senior dog, this place was perfect. Everything on one level, fully fenced backyard, and all the comforts. Tammy was a great host and quick to respond when we had a question. This place was great for our short stay but would have been perfect for a longer one too.

This property is exactly as advertised. The home is clean, comfortable and has everything you would need. The kitchen has all necessary items to cook. The beds are very comfortable and the location was great for easy access to all downtown has to offer. The yard was safe for our pet and the porch was great to hang out on as a family.

This house was perfect. Tammy the host, lives next door and was the perfect host. The house has a front porch and great back porch we enjoyed. The back yard swing was also a hit. The inside of the house was clean and decorated so well. We loved the kitchen. Tammy has a beautiful garden next door you must check out as well. The house is a great location as well. Everything was within 15 minutes. We would love to stay here again.

This was perfect for our 3 adult 2 kids trip! It gave us plenty of space to spread out. Lightning bugs in the backyard were a hit! It was clean and well taken care of. The landscaping was beautiful with the bonus of a playset for use on the street. The only thing I would warn future renters about is it maybe difficult to park a larger vehicle there, but with enough practice it won't be an issue.

A lovely home with everything we could ever need for our stay. We traveled with 3 kids (ages 1, 9 and 11) and our dog. It had the perfect set up for all of us, plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen, cozy back patio and fence yard and it was very clean. Tammy was a great hostess and popped in to introduce herself. We appreciated the attention to detail at the home and had a great stay!

I grew up in Philadelphia, Tn on a small horse farm. I moved to Chattanooga to go to college and have stayed here since. Like kudzu my roots go 6 feet under.

Why they chose this property

I own the whole block. The other houses are yearly rentals. I have been playing Monopoly in my neighborhood since 1983. There are 3 other short term rentals on this same block, Ridgedale Roost ,Gray Gables, and Kathy's Kottage . The other three are long term rentals.
