“This Fitz” is a studio apartment conveniently located on the south side of Tar Bay
within 5 miles of Georgetown and the international airport. The secluded and beautifully
landscaped property offers a private pathway to Tar Bay with a deck and stairs to the
beach (displayed in the pictures), where you can walk for miles and enjoy the crystal
clear water and soft sandy beaches or just plain kick back and relax in a beach
chair. The apartment can comfortably accommodate a couple ( 2 people ) and is
conveniently located near shopping and Elizabeth Harbor where you can enjoy
activities on Stocking Island via water taxi or boat rental. Car rentals are available if you
would like to explore the Exuma’s from Barre Tarre to Little Exuma, but arrangements
should be made well in advance and make sure, when driving , you stay on the left
side of the road.

A total 5 stars all the way around- from prompt communication by hosts when we had questions, to the property being super clean!It can be hard to find a place to stay for just 2 people & Paul & Janet’s place was perfect for just myself & my husband. It’s in a good, central location to visit beaches in all directions. The biggest perks we greatly appreciated: drinking water (this was huge!) & all the beach supplies- from beach towels to a beach blanket & beach chairs to a small cooler for the beach were all provided. We would definitely recommend!

Janet was a wonderful host. Her home is beautiful and immaculately clean. We loved the location, the beach access to Tar Bay beach was amazing and I loved having a place to walk in the mornings. I 100 percent can recommend staying here. It’s in the middle of the island so traveling either way was great. I loved everything about my stay. It was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a great affordable place, look no further than “This Fitz” because it does! Looking forward to coming back for another stay. Our stay was incredible! The apartment was immaculately clean, welcoming, well equipped with all the necessities and as comfortable as being in my own home. Our hosts were gracious, generous and very informative for things to do and places to go. Their property is the epitome of lush tropical plants and trees. We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We highly recommend staying at The Fitz, and promise that you will return year after year.

The hosts were super friendly and great communicators. The property/grounds are nicely kept and the house is secluded from the roadway. The house comfortably accommodates a couple and having the fully stocked kitchen is a great plus. There are so many beautiful beaches to see ! Highly recommend this house.

Amazing stay and hospitality

My husband and I spent 5 days at “this fitz” and we enjoyed it ! We felt at home thanks to the hospitality of Dimps ! He took care of our arrival, taxi and was full of attentions ! 100% recommend this place and the beach is amazing at a really short walk from the house.

Exuma Excellence!

This Fitz is a great studio for couples. This unit is centrally located and very convenient for traveling around the island. The owners have appointed everything you will need for a very comfortable stay.

Loved our stay on beautiful Exuma!

We had a great stay. The property was well equipped and comfortable. The path to the beach was nicely landscaped and took approximately 3-4 minutes to get to the beach. Janet and Paul were very receptive and easy to get in touch with. Centrally located to reach both ends of the island easily by car.

Perfect spot!

Janet & Paul’s place was exactly as stated. The setting was beautiful and perfectly placed for traveling to upper Exuma and lower Exuma. Although not on the beach there is a path to cross over to a beach but we move a lot so we saw lots of beaches. Janet & Paul were friendly and helpful, very welcoming. We loved staying here and would recommend it for a couple Thank you

Nicely updated apartment, really a one bedroom without the wall. Comfortable bed and sectional, good mid-island location just above George Town. Equipped with everything you’d need. Very good value for Exuma

Wonderful host and great property, has everything you need for a short term stay. The only (minor) caveat is the property can be tricky to find at night time if you arrive late in the afternoon/evening. Google Maps "This Fitz" would help you find it easier.

Wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay and so happy we picked this rental! Janet and Paul are great hosts and so friendly. The studio was perfect size for us, very clean, and it’s in a great centralized location. The outdoor shower was great for washing off sand after returning from the beach. Tar Bay beach is just a short 3 minute walk along their path. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location to see the whole island.

“This Fitz” was perfect for my wife and I. We enjoyed our morning walks and 350 steps to the beach then miles of beach was great. The property is well kept with accurate pictures and description. The owners were so warm, inviting, and quick to respond to any questions and had great recommendations on food, boat rentals, and excursion companies. We recommend this property and hope to be back one day!

Relaxing by the Sea

Wonderful studio apartment to relax and forget the daily routine. The residence was exactly as described by owner. Stayed for 6 nights and had the beach to ourselves each day. Water was lovely. Location was conveniently halfway on the island, not far from groceries and town. Owner had many nice touches (hammock, beach chairs, water cooler, nice landscape, gas grill, etc.) making the stay very easy. Recommend for a single person or couple.

We have been going to Exuma since the 1980’s. Our brother built the round house on TarBay and we loved going to visit him. He then sold that house and bought Seascape also on TarBay. As we were planning our retirement and having property on both sides of Queen’s Highway he sold us the property with a 10 foot right away to the beach which enabled us to build the deck and stairs to the beach. We built our retirement winter home and enjoy all the wonderful people we have met over the years.

The studio apartment, This Fitz has been renovated to accommodate 2 guests. It is located on Tar Bay in beautiful grounds. Just across the road is a private path that leads you straight on to the beach. It offers seclusion without being remote. A perfect combination.
Local amenities are a short drive away.

This Fitz is the ideal base to relax after a hard days sunbathing. Whether you want to cook up a meal at home and relax on the porch in the beautifully maintained gardens, or take a shower and head out to one of the many restaurants, this perfectly placed property will provide you with peace and tranquility.
