Our romantic, over 300 year old country house is located in a sunny secluded location on a hill near the Danube and the idyllic Danube lake. The unique cultural landscape of the Wachau with gentle hills, fields and meadows invites you to relax and "slow down".
Swimming, water sports, cycling / mountain biking, hiking, golf course and many cultural offers in the immediate vicinity.
The house with 110 m2 of living space has been authentically renovated by us with great attention to detail. We have preserved the old substance and equipped the building with selected furniture from 5 decades in shabby chic and industrial look as well as modern technology. A highlight is the art collection, which can be found throughout the house and on the facade.

A comfortable kitchen with bar table, a large living room with two sofa beds and a dining table for 6 people, a bedroom with a kingsize bed and spacious wardrobe, a small study with sofa and desk, as well as a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet offer each Ample space for up to four people. A special feature is the cellar in the natural rock, where drinks can be stored in a cool place and bicycles can be parked.
Two covered and furnished terraces complement the living area.

Fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker & oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, four coffee machines (portafilter espresso machine for ground coffee or E. S.E. pads, Italian mocha cooker, French press and a filter coffee machine), kettle, toaster, coffee grinder.
Rinse tabs, salt, sugar, oil, vinegar and tea & coffee.
Hand, bath and kitchen towels, bed linen, hairdryer, soap.
WLAN Internet access free of charge. Apple i-Mac computer, sound system with USB and SD interfaces, turntable in the living room.
Safe and automatic central heating.

The large garden is available to guests alone. Here you will find a hammock between two old walnut trees, a fireplace / grill area and garden loungers. On the large south / west terrace there is a dining table with 4 seats, where you can eat comfortably and enjoy a glass of Wachau wine at sunset. On the small south / east terrace, breakfast tastes particularly good while chirping birds in the morning sun. There is also a garden canopy bed for daydreaming and many lovingly designed places to linger.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY

WATER:
- Bathing beach on the Donausee in Weitenegg, only a 10-minute walk away. There is a pedal boat rental, aquajump, large lawn, playground, beach volleyball court, SUP and surfing options and restaurants. Free admission.
- Natural sandy beach directly on the Danube, approx. 3 km away
- outdoor swimming pool in Melk (8 km)
- And even more beaches (sand or gravel) along the Danube or on the Pielach
SPORTS:
Mountain biking, cycling on the Danube cycle path (bike rental Nextbike nearby), roller skating, hiking, running (right behind the house or in the meadow along the Danube), walking (beautiful panoramic path), fishing, golf course in Maria Taferl (12 km)
WINE:
Visit the world-famous Wachau wine region and stop off at one of the numerous wine taverns.
CULTURE:
Melk Summer Games in the Wachau Arena,
Benedictine Monastery Melk Abbey, Oskar Kokoschka Museum in Pöchlarn, Melk carpentry workshop, exhibitions, museums.
TRIPS:

VIENNA is only 80 km away; good train connections, from Melk station you can reach Vienna in one hour.
