Beautiful Mountain Cabin, Walk to Town and Trails,
We built this beautiful modern cabin in 2004 with all the character and furnishings you'd expect in an idyllic Rocky Mountain home. Incredible mountain views surround you, yet you can walk to the coffee shop, restaurants, and the recreation path takes you to Breckenridge, Copper or around Lake Dillon. The major ski areas are just minutes away (Copper: 8 miles, Breckenridge: 10 miles, Keystone: 12 miles, Vail: 25 miles, Beaver Creek: 35 Miles, Winter Park: 60 miles, Steamboat: 90 Miles).
Our home is about 2000sf with off-street parking for 4+ cars. The main level has two bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with two queen size beds). The upper level has the master suite (king bed) in addition to the large loft area (convertible futon) which is open to the living room below. A washer and dryer as well as a boot/gear drying room make extended stays convenient, and there is an ON-SITE CARETAKER (they have a separate entrance to their apartment) should an emergency arise.
Summit County has a free shuttle system which can take you almost anywhere with your bikes and skis. The shuttle stop is four blocks away and can get you to the base of Copper Mountain in as little as 10 minutes or Breckenridge in 15. If you need to rent skis or bikes there are numerous shops in town that will be happy to accommodate you. Most of your shopping needs can be taken care of right in Frisco as well; from family run shops, galleries and restaurants to Whole Foods, Starbucks, fast food, Safeway and Walmart.
We are dog friendly for the well behaved family pooch. The pet fee is $30/night/dog (max 2). Also please, no dogs on furniture, pick up after them outside (and in) and we require dogs to be crated if left unattended inside the house. If your dog has an accident let us know immediately so professional carpet cleaning can be arranged.
We are a registered lodging business with the Town of Frisco…Lodging License #: 010193

The space was perfect for us! Plenty of room for our one year old to play and even a few toys for her. Friends came to visit and there was more than enough room. The best part was being within blocks of trailheads; the fall colors were just beautiful!!

Glad to hear everything worked out well for your stay… and you found the baby toys :-)
Our family enjoy our time at the cabin so much! It was beautiful, clean, excellent location and very good communication with owner. We were blessed by this time here.
Property as described. Very clean and well equipped. I had the best communication with Host, which was almost zero, because nothing was needed, and everything worked as it should :-)So, great experience and a fair value.

Fantastic Home and Location!
We could not have been happier with our stay at this home. The house was super comfortable and was a perfect mountain getaway. We had everything we needed for our family from extra pillows and blankets to board games and dvds for the kids. The location was perfect...just a couple blocks to restaurants and hiking trails and an easy drive or free bus to several ski resorts. We can’t wait to come back!

Jim,
Thanks for emailing your comments to me...can’t wait to have you back!
Dean your cabin was terrific! We really enjoyed the location and your place had all the amenities. It was just the right size for 6 adults and 2 little dogs. Frisco is such a great little town, the people, the restaurants, the hiking and biking. Thanks for making this booking and check-in/out easy. Suzanne & Rob

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and our home worked out so well for your family. Hope to see you again!
This was our second summer in Frisco, same rental house. Perfect location, perfect house. You can bike everywhere on the rec path (to Breck, Copper, Keyston and Lake Dillon), which is so close to the house; or just walk into town, only a few blocks away. The deck on the house is a major plus. 5 stars!!!

Weekend stay
Recently stayed with my kids for a long weekend. Clean, nicely decorated, warm feeling. It was a great place, good location. The only problem was the kitchen needs some minor things like hand towels, pot holders for those that cook. Otherwise a great place! Would definitely stay again.

Excellent Rental
I had the pleasure of staying a week at this property in Frisco, everything about the experience was perfect, location, layout of the house, condition of the property, working with the property owner, sleeping arrangements, the quality of the property and the care to keep the property in top condition. I like it and my adult children loved it. I would definitely will rent this property in the future.
Oh, and the skiing was beyond excellent

Perfect Family Accommodations!
Dean’s place was perfect for our family of 6. It was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room, a large kitchen, plus has that cabin atmosphere that we wanted. The best thing was though, that we got to bring our furry family member! He is part of our family too, so having such a nice place to bring him too, was awesome! I was also happy with how centrally located the house was. We skied in Keystone, but also spent some time in Breckenridge. Each area was only a short drive away, so it fit our needs well. Dean was quick to reply making all communication super easy. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Perfect log cabin home in the residential part of Frisco. Very clean and comfortable home.
Great location for skiing Copper, Breck, A-Basin and Keystone. Very clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. Fans and humidifiers in each bedroom were appreciated! Helpful to have laundry in the basement. Joan, the permanent renter in the basement unit, was super nice, but the only suggestion would be to add a lock on the basement door or fix it so that it actually shuts. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

Kristin,
So glad to hear you and your family enjoyed your stay so much.
And thanks for the heads up on the basement door..will get that adjusted so it locks :-)
Suffered from a moderate to severe dry coughevery day I returned to the cabin which resolved every morning I left for the slopes I am a board-certified MD so I have a high index of suspiscion that there may be environmental factors at play in your cabin i.e. animal dander, mold, animal droppings, etc. I may be mistaken but you may want to rule these or other possible causes out. Good location but I would consider the home very over priced compared to what I have paid for other accomodations in the area Also one of my fellow guests was concerned that the 2nd floor thermostat was possibly being remotely reset to a less than comfortable lower temperature in the evening We probably would not return even at a lower price However we do appreciate you opening your home to us and did our best to leave no trace other than leaving some provisions behind for future guests! Listing photo misleading considering the place was in a subdivision off of Main Street in Frisco and not a mountain retreat which I expected having been to Frisco many times in the past

John,
Sorry to hear you were dealing with some health issues during your stay. Folks can sometimes feel the effects of the altitude (~9000’), especially while sleeping. We do provide humidifiers in each room which can often make people more comfortable at night. We are advertised as “pet friendly, and our cleaners typically do a fantastic job, but folks who are sensitive to pets or have allergies could still be affected.
I’m surprised to hear our property’s location did not meet your expectations. We try to be very clear starting with our listing headline: “Walk to Town and Trails”, and the Map on VRBO shows our property centrally located in town. We also try to use photos that show the proximity of some of the neighboring homes.

We loved the location, within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Bicycle path and hiking trails were a few blocks away. Neighborhood was quiet. Weather was wonderful.
The house was spacious, clean, and the mountain decor gave it a nice outdoorsy feeling. Lots of things to do close by. Wonderful stay for family and friends.
Great property with gorgeous views, excellent location to Main St. Frisco. We’ll decorated and adequately supplied. The owner was very responsive to all requests thank you Dean

About the host
Hosted by Dean
Thanks for considering our vacation home. We have traveled all over the world but are still amazed at the beauty of Summit County. The skiing is phenomenal, especially having so many major ski resorts in the area, and the summers are even more amazing! The morning routine is to check the snow report and chase the powder! In the summer the cycling and hiking trails are fantastic and just steps away from the house. Plus, there are more art, beer and music festivals going on than you will know what to do with...and most of them are free!
Why they chose this property
Frisco is one of the best places you can stay in Summit County. It has easy access to all the major ski resorts yet retains a great small town charm with good dining options (many within walking distance) and lots of activities. I lived in the area full time for six years and loved all the summer and winter recreation opportunities, now I take advantage of these activities when we come up from Golden.
What makes this property unique
We know the family dog can be just as important as anyone else you travel with in sharing your mountain vacation. We are happy to accommodate, with the understanding that your pooch should be comfortable in new environments (no excessive barking or aggressive behavior) and you will cleanup after them outside. If you leave them unattended in the house please use a crate, and no pets on beds or furniture. The charge $30/night per pooch (max of 2)….due to the way VRBO handles payment this may be sent as separate charge after your reservation is completed.
Lastly, please be sure of your dates at time of booking as we cannot issue refunds or change dates. We encourage everyone to get travel insurance to cover unforeseen events. In the situation where you have no alternative but to change dates or cancel, let us know and we will try to rebook your reservation with someone else (there is a 20% rebooking fee, plus deductions for any discounts needed to re-book the property)… thanks for your understanding.
