Enjoy the unconventional design and and privacy of High Tower, a unique, castle-like residence with a three-story turret and heated pool. Architecturally inspired by historical European manors, this one-of-a-kind home on three acres has three bedrooms and bathrooms, a fireplace, a private pool guarded by gargoyles and an upper deck atop the turret with views of Acadia. Hand-carved details, stained glass and functional art give High Tower old-world elegance. High Tower comfortably hosts six adults, and we can sometimes make the neighboring one-bedroom Pool House available for rent as well. High Tower is a weekly rental only (Friday-Friday) in the summer. In the off-season, there is a four-night minimum.
The design details in High Tower are stunning. The original owner imported accent pieces from around the world and brought in artists to make this home truly exceptional. High Tower comfortably hosts six people in three bedrooms, and an air mattress can be made available for kids or overflow guests. The first-floor bedroom has a queen bed, the second-floor bedroom has a king bed, and the third-floor bedroom can be either a king or two twins.
The private pool (heated to 76 degrees) is only open from Memorial Day through September.
While kids are certainly invited to stay at High Tower, please know that house is not designed with children mind; there is no fence around the pool, and there are no interior child gates or safety guards.
The home sits between Somes Sound (salt water) and Echo Lake (fresh water) next to Acadia National Park. Enjoy the private pool (open Memorial Day through September), the garden, and the grounds.
Looking for additional room? Next door there's a neighboring Pool House with hand-painted vaulted ceilings, a 12-foot dining table and one bedroom/bath that can occasionally made available to guests for an additional fee. (It's not rented as a standalone unit and is occasionally occupied by the High Tower owners.) The Pool House is only available May through October. Please message us if you'd like to learn more!
