This house is very convenient to the Main St./downtown Bar Harbor area. We were able to walk easily. The abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms and the well-stocked kitchen makes it great for large groups. Reading on the front porch was nice. There are a number of games, etc for entertainment.
The home had everything we needed and more! Plenty of seating spaces, spacious kitchen and 6 bedrooms! Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Very close to the shops in Bar Harbor and the park.
The house was big- had a lot of blankets and places for people to sleep and get away from each other. It is very close to downtown. Would recommend for large groups.
It just doesn't get much better than this! This grand old house was fabulous for our large group of friends. The location is ideal; a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Bar Harbor and an eight-minute drive to Acadia NP. Where it really shines, though, is the many thoughtful accommodations for its guests. The kitchen is the best equipped rental we've ever seen. For our group of cooks, it had everything you'd ever need for preparing great meals. Plenty of room to spread out and hang out with friends. And lots of little extras: like a well-stocked library, board games, toys for kids, puzzles - even a blueberry pie awaiting us upon our arrival. The bedrooms are comfortable and nicely furnished as well as the bathrooms. We loved our stay and would definitely come again!

Thank you so much for the lovely review, Ron! So glad you enjoyed all of the extra touches we try to provide for our guests. We would gladly host you again!
The very short walk to downtown Bar Harbor was perfect. Everyone in the family had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Very short drive to Acadia National Park. Loved our stay!
Very nice 3 story/6 bedroom house which is cozy though large and roomy. Love the outside porch/ short walk to downtown Bar Harbor/many restaurants close by. Comfortable beds/ plenty of linens/stocked kitchen and baths - plenty of bathrooms for 9 people - We loved our stay and would stay there again
The owners were so easy to communicate with and the house was great. The best were the small details of having charging stations in each room, and everything you needed in the kitchen.
We were 20 women hikers staying here and in 2 other houses. This house was the ideal meeting point with a fully equipped kitchen and lots of room to gather together. This was home base for a wonderful visit to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The owners were great when we had questions

Best vacay house ever!
We were 7 adults and a 4 year old and this was the perfect house for our 4 day stay. We literally said “Wow” when we walked in the door. It was large, welcoming and well stocked with any thing we could imagine. The 4 year old had his own bedroom and loved the toys that were there. We chilled, we grilled and we filled the house with the great sound system. We will be coming back to this gem!
Beautiful large historic home in great location in Bar Harbor. Our group was six adults and nine children, and the space fit us perfectly. Short walk to downtown, the Village Green, and other points of interest. The host was very helpful and responsive with the few minor issues that came up. We would definitely recommend to others and would be excited to stay here again in the future.
Our group of 10 gather for one week each fall to hike and spend time together. This home in Bar Harbor was the perfect space for our big group-large dining table and living room that held us all comfortably with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We cooked nightly and found the house to be equipped with everything under the sun. The location is perfection!
This house exceeded our expectations in so many ways it’s impossible to list them all. From the moment we walked in the front door and said “Wow” to the moment we left and said “We’ll be back”, it was fantastic. It was clean, unbelievably spacious and stocked with everything imaginable. Our 4 yr grandson never played with the toys we brought because there were so many great toys there. The location was only a 5 minute walk from Main St. After we left there was one issue, we can’t decide if we want four nights again or stay longer next year!
Fantastic property in great location in Bar Harbor. Was perfect for a girls weekend. We had 11 in our group and there was plenty of room and great hangout space. Walking distance to town made it incredible for a large group with different itineraries. Close to Acadia National Park. We loved our stay and would recommend 10/10. The owners were friendly and communicative and left us an incredibly delicious blueberry pie that was a huge hit with the entire group.
Our family (12 of us) stayed for a long weekend for the MDI marathon. The house was perfect, had everything we needed and was more than enough space for all of us. The house is in a great location, walkable to downtown Bar Harbor and was a great spot for our marathon weekend. Charles and Ali were very responsive when we were having some issues with the smoke detector as well. We would absolutely recommend this home!
We have rented vacation homes every other year for 24 years and “Song of the Sea” is the best equipped home we have rented. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is an amazing library of books, toys, games and puzzles. It’s the prefect distance to walk to the shops, grocery and harbor. The back yard has a grill, a big pot to cook lobsters, a fire pit and two hammocks. It was perfect for our three generations of 14 people. Interior of the house appears to finalizing a complete revocation which looks to be 90% finished and looks good. The lack of trim and final paint did not impact our stay.
We had a great time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We had 7 adults and 4 kids (ages 4 to 8) and the house had plenty of space for everyone. The location was perfect for walking in to town for ice cream, shopping, restaurants, and viewing the harbor or Bar Island Trail. It was also super easy to get to Acadia. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed, including kitchen essentials and tons of towels. The host was very friendly, checking in to make sure we didn’t have any issues and also making lots of suggestions for things to do. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed an incredible stay at this home, which is just a quick walk from the center of Bar Harbor! We were able to hike and bike in Acadia starting right from the house. This house was equipped beyond our expectations. We are a three-generation family and everyone had a great time! We cooked out on the Green Egg, had a backyard lobster feast, and enjoyed the fire pit including cooking s'mores. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful! We highly recommend this wonderful home.
The house was great for a large group of people we had!! We definitely enjoyed the location as we were able to walk to all shops, restaurants, and move theatre! This place was also a very short drive away from Acadia Park! We could not believe how close we were to everything we wanted to enjoy! We love the warm welcome we received and the blueberry pie! Also, the owner was super responsive and quick to help answer all of my questions! I would definitely recommend this house especially if you are traveling with a big group and want to be close to all the entertainment. Thank you for the wonderful stay in Bar Harbor!
We were a group of 4 couples sharing this charming home. We came at the beginning of a forecasted hurricane/tropical storm. Prior to this, Ali knew I had concerns and was willing to accommodate us in case we changed our dates a bit. We came as we’d planned and only experienced the internet going down at the house a couple brief times and some spots in town were closed due to power outage so inconvenience was minimal. Our house never last power. The church we attended across the street did but not our house. Everything was well stocked, especially the kitchen! There’s a table big enough for all of us at meal time and for playing games/cards. The bedrooms are very spacious and we all loved the mattresses as they were very comfortable! Each couple had their own bathroom. That’s important to us. The owners checked in with us by text daily to make sure we had everything we needed. They answered any questions we had promptly. We had a wonderful vacation in Bar Harbor!
