Welcome to your downtown Raleigh home away from home. Just a short walk to the heart of downtown , this updated, basically new, bungalow is a great place to relax and enjoy your stay. Just 4 blocks from Transfer Co Food Hall, very close to other restaurants and other downtown destination. Whether you`re looking to enjoy the museums, attend a wedding, enjoy entertainment at Memorial Auditorium or anything else downtown has to offer, this is a great place to stay.
I am available for questions and usually respond right away but definitely within an hour unless it’s an unusual circumstance. I would be happy to meet you in person, if that`s what you would like, but I`ve found that most guests like the ease of keyless entry check-in and just communicating as needed throughout their stay.
This is a downtown property with small lots and new homes and older homes - very nice neighbors! There is an entrance to John Chavis Memorial Park just across the street so there can be some light foot traffic walking by from time to time. The park has recently been updated including a sprawling playground with a tree house-like structure with long slides and lots of opportunities for kids to climb and scramble and a large sprayground where dozens of jets shoot water from the ground. It also is to be home to a carousel (still part of renovation). With proximity to the center of downtown, there are lots of restaurants and entertainment venues within walking distance. The closest grouping of restaurants can be found just 4 short blocks away at the Transfer Co Food Hall. You will definitely want to check out their website to see the variety of food options!
There is a driveway for a single car parking and space in front of the house for another vehicle. Guests can also park on the street where there is space. You can drive to areas outside of downtown and even within downtown if you want to get there faster with many paid parking options (many are free at night). But you can get around by walking to many restaurants and entertainment venues in downtown Raleigh. There is Citrix cycle and bike share available as well as Gotcha scooter share rentals. We loved everything about our stay! The house was clean and lovely and there was a park practically right out the door. We could even walk downtown in 20 minutes.
The home is warm and welcoming, with all the updates needed for a relaxing, fun-filled stay. The home is located in close proximity to shops, restaurants, grocery store and a very nice park.
This was a great place for us to stay while we were vendors at the Raleigh convention center. We stayed with another couple and each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Everything was clean and decorated lovely! Would definitely stay again!
Our family stayed for the weekend in Raleigh to visit with relatives. Gayla’s home was perfect - great location, plenty of space for us to spread out and all the amenities we needed.
This house was exactly what we were looking for! It looked just like the pictures and was very clean. Checking in was easy and communication with the host was very quick and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
We had a lovely stay at the downtown bungalow. It was cute, comfortable, and clean. The proximity to downtown was great. We easily walked downtown on several occasions. I would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay! Lovely home and nicely decorated. Was in a great location for a downtown wedding we were attending. Host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Pleastly surprised with a nice park and running trails right down the street too. Would definitely stay again!
The property exceeded our expectations. It is an in an excellent location, convenient to downtown on a quiet street. The house was spotless and check in was effortless. Gayla was a communicative host and it is clear they care about guest comfort.
Very clean, beautiful house, loved the way it was decorated! Quiet neighborhood but very close to the city, excellent location. We were very impressed!
The house is lovely and well appointed, much larger than it appears from the listing. Enough space between the main bedroom and the front so if someone is working while the other is sleeping you won't disturb anyone. The host was highly communicative.
Such a cute & spacious property! Close to everything … park and walking trails across the street. Quiet neighborhood. Super clean! Highly, highly recommend!
Very responsive host. Perfect amount of basic supplies, including coffee which wasn’t expected. The home is very clean and completely remodeled. Safe and quiet street.
We had a lovely time in Raleigh! I had work meetings at the convention center and this house was a perfect 15 min walk to it. We loved how close the park was. The neighbors were extremely kind and we loved how clean the house was. Everything was labeled which we found helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
Wonderful place to stay near downtown Raleigh. Walking trails, 5-10 minute drive from most everything in Raleigh. Charming house and neighborhood. Attended a wedding reception with before and after parties everything a short drive. Recommend this place to my friends and family. 40 minutes to Durham, 1.5 hours to NC zoo.
My 14 year old daughter and I came for a weekend to meet my first grandchild. We loved the cuteness of this house. It was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the coffee, tea and breakfast items. I also appreciated the information sent before, during and after our stay. The only downside was the beds. I’ve never slept on a mattress that hard. It had absolutely no give. I know we will be back in Raleigh quite often. If not for the bed, I would choose this adorable house every time. If my complaint is repeated by other guests, I would suggest putting a memory foam topper on the mattresses.

Clean, quiet stay close to a park and the convention center
Two of us rented this house just a few blocks from a food hall and an upscale wine shop/bar. Neighborhood was quiet yet close to restaurants. It was to chilly during our stay to sit outside for meals, although there was enough room by the front door. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen for homemade meals. The beds had foam mattresses which I found too hard but my spouse said was ok. The toiletries in the bathrooms were very nice!
