We loved everything about our weekend here. The owner was great to work with. Checkin was simple. The place is adorable. The pictures don’t do it justice. We will be back!
The house is small and perfect. The front yard is spectacular and provided us with a beautiful place to hang out. We used the grill and fire pit and ate most of our meals outside. Just steps to the beach, the location is great.
A quirky but delightful 100 year old property. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a 3 week stay. The beds were very comfortable.
John, the host responded instantly to any requests, the checkin could not have been easier. The wood floor had just been refurbished and the cleaners had not got rid of all the dust. As soon as John was told the cleaners were back and the place was spotless. A superb location for enjoying Balboa Island and the Peninsula. We will book it again if we revisit Balboa.
We’ve always been smitten with the island and this lovely historical cottage was perfect for our extended stay. Between the grill with propane ready to go and the modern appliances and the well equipped kitchen, dining in was east and fun. Comfy beds, laundry access, and AC unit were great. John was a very communicative and generous hist - great experience!
We stayed here for a friends’ weekend. Four of us stayed and enjoyed the fire pit outside, walks around the bay and beautifully decorated neighborhoods. Home is so cute and had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back.
The property was beautiful. Rented bikes, walked he island each day, went on the ferry, and had incredible meals.
