Our stay at Bear Claw Cove in Pipestem, WV was excellent. The cabin was very clean, had spacious parking, and the hot tub and fire pit were perfect touches. You can tell the owner put a lot of love into the cozy bear-themed decor. I loved that they were pet friendly! Our dog loved it. The location is fantastic with beautiful mountain scenery and plenty to do nearby including golf, the mountain coaster, trap shooting, zip lining, and even kayaks provided by the host. The place exceeded our expectations and we’d definitely stay again.

Reasonably close drive to WinterPlace. We had a blast tubing and snowboarding and it was nice to come home to a relaxing hot tub and clean and welcoming cabin to get a good nights rest. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this cabin! It was extremely cozy and had the cutest fall and Halloween decorations throughout. The hot tub was amazing and it was so nice to enjoy the views, especially the changing of the leaves. My boyfriend and I also loved that this place was right across from the street from Pipestem Resort State Park. We had such a wonderful time and hopefully will be back soon!!

Very clean and had everything we needed. Couch could use an upgrade. It was very uncomfortable and sunken in. It was a pull out bed so that may be the reason. Very friendly area and quiet. Super thankful we could bring our dog with us. Hot tub was very clean and nice. Loved the area very beautiful. Thank you for the nice safe home that you aloud us to rent for a few days.

Cozy get away

My wife and I had a great time here. Perfect for a relaxing get away and also conveniently distanced from Winterplace when we wanted to go snowboarding. Sitting in the hot tub during a snowstorm was phenomenal.

Great weekend getaway!

Came out this way to go skiing at Winterplace for the weekend. Couldn’t have asked for a cozier cabin stay in the mountains close to the resort. Great host and location, everything we needed was here. Hope to be back again down the road!

Perfect quiet location with Hot Tub. Cabin was so clean and smelled so good when we first arrived. Bear decorated cabin aka Bear Claw Cabin. Everything was so relaxing at the cabin. We spent our days hiking to all the Watefalls with 30ish miles and then soaking in the hot tub in the evening time. Picked this location since it was in the middle of the area for all the local Waterfalls and Hiking trails. Very quiet area, not alot of traffic, plenty of nature to see. We also stopped and watched the construction on the BlueStone Dam. That was pretty cool. Not a lot of restaurants to choose from, but we did go to Hawg Jaws BBQ, Moe's Restaurant, & River City Grill & Pub. Azul Mexican Restaurant in Princeton was on our way back from some waterfalls. We tried to eat at BlueStone Dining Room at Pipestem State Park, but it was too hot at 87 degrees in the restaurant and only 78 outside. The reviews were not that good but had decided to try it out anyways, with no luck as we left. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone who wants piece and quiet and to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city.
