Peaceful Creekside Cabin – Near Pisgah, DuPont & Mountain Biking Trails
Nestled beside the babbling waters of Knob Creek and surrounded by trees, Mountain Creek Escape is a beautifully renovated, two-bedroom cabin located just minutes from downtown Brevard. This 5-star retreat is ideal for mountain bikers, outdoor explorers, couples, and families looking to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature.
The cabin sits on a lush one-acre lot with 175 feet of private creek frontage—just ten feet from the expansive screened deck. Mornings here are best spent sipping coffee in one of the cozy egg chairs as the sun filters through the trees. Afternoons are for napping in the gravity lounger, and evenings are for stargazing by the fire pit. We provide a complimentary bundle of seasoned firewood to help you ease into mountain life from the moment you arrive.
Inside, you’ll find two well-appointed bedrooms—one with a king-size memory foam mattress, and the other with two twin memory foam beds—each with luxury linens, ample pillows, and thoughtful touches that help guests settle in and feel at home. The living space is warm and inviting, reflecting the cabin’s bike-friendly theme and local charm. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking easy with everything you need to prepare meals after a day on the trail.
Adventurers will appreciate the dedicated mudroom with a deep utility sink, washer/dryer, two shoe dryers, and a new bike wash station—perfect for cleaning up after muddy rides. For evening entertainment, guests enjoy classic board games, a variety of books, a DVD library, and WIFI to stream your favorite movies or work remotely if needed. A kid-friendly on-site treasure hunt adds a touch of fun for younger guests.

We’re both the owners and hands-on property managers of this cabin, and it’s a place that’s very special to us. We’ve done our best to anticipate everything you might need for a comfortable and memorable stay, but we’re always just a text or phone call away if something comes up. We’re happy to offer local tips and ideas for things to do while you’re here. It’s important to us that you feel at home—and well taken care of—throughout your stay.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it offers something truly rare—a peaceful, private setting with the calming sound of the creek, all while being just minutes from the heart of Brevard. The combination of natural beauty and convenience makes it an ideal place to relax, recharge, and explore. As experienced hosts, we’re committed to creating a space that feels welcoming, well cared for, and worthy of a 5-star stay. We truly love sharing this special spot with others.
What makes this property unique
What makes our cabin truly unique is the combination of its peaceful setting and the care we’ve put into every detail. Set beside 175 feet of babbling creek, the property has a calming energy that invites you to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the mountains.
We’ve taken great pride in renovating the space to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that blends comfort with function—especially for outdoor enthusiasts. The cabin features a bike-friendly theme throughout, including a custom bike wash station under the carport and a clothesline for drying gear after a muddy ride. We’ve even added two boot and shoe dryers to make your adventures a little easier.
Guests of all ages love our on-site treasure hunt, a fun and free activity that encourages exploration and adds a playful twist to your stay—perfect for kids, families, or even adventurous adults looking for something different.
Inside, the bathroom has been fully renovated with shiplap walls, a beadboard ceiling, a luxury shower head, and a handcrafted concrete-and-wood vanity made by my husband. For added convenience, we provide a shower dispenser stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Every bed features memory foam mattresses and soft, 1800-thread count linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep. In the kitchen, you’ll find a coffee bar with a dual-function Keurig and drip coffee maker (with K-cups ready for you), along with a French press for guests who prefer a slower brew.
Outside, the creekside fire pit is just a stone’s throw from the porch—perfect for starry nights and s’mores. Relax in the double hammock, play cornhole in the yard, or enjoy a round of Big Jenga on the screened porch. Whether you’re here to ride, hike, explore, or simply relax, we’ve designed this cabin to be more than a place to stay—it’s a space to settle in and feel at home.
