The building has 1 main elevator and back elevator. Only one apartment per floor.

EXCELLENT LOCATION! on Arenales Street (between Esmeralda and Suipacha) only a few steps away from Plaza San Martin Square. Walking distance from major attractions including Recoleta, Teatro Colon, Avenida Alvear, restaurants, shops and exclusive malls as Patio Bullrich and Galerias Pacifico on Florida Street.
Endless taxi cabs going by and very easy access to and from every attraction and must see spots in the city, and we also recommend you use Uber.

Guest Access: In Buenos Aires you will meet with Cecilia or Laura upon your arrival, who will provide you with the keys. You will have main front door key of the building and of the apartment. One elevator available to access the apartment and stairs. Please note only TWO or THREE people can ride the elevator and you have to please double check both doors closed properly.
Please know this is Argentina, and power outages happen a lot in Summer. This means you will have to walk up the stairs if elevator is not working, and the AC will not work, nor the fans, nor the fridge, oven or range, which is all electric. There is no generator in the building.
Please remember no cleaning is required upon check out.
Getting There: Use Uber, or a few blocks from Retiro station for trains, and subway. Main attractions are walking distance. Calculate 1 hr from Ezeiza Airport, traffic permitting and 15' from Aeroparque, local Airport.

Loved Palace San Martin!

We stayed in this stunning historical apartment for a few nights prior to our cruise. It was perfect for two couples, with the two master suites, lots of room for the four of us. Our hosts were amazing, responding almost immediately

Check in went easily! Lowra met us and oriented us to the apt. Common areas and primary bedrooms of the apt are every bit as large as photos indicate. Local recommendations and availability were above an average. We were there for only three nights and did not explore the kitchen beyond putting bottled water in the fridge really.

The fridge leaked on the floor and needed 2 days to fix. The AC stopped working twice in 30 temperature and needed 2 days to fix. We had to stay home for these 4 days to provide access to the repair person. If you plan to work, you can forget it, as the internet goes out frequently. They say it's because of a power failure, but there was no failure when it went out for us, including in the midst of work. The television remotes didn't work. The property manager refused to speak to me by phone, and the owner refused to respond to my emails. The location is great and the apartment is large, but it's also tired. And is it really acceptable to provide only 1 coffee mug and no drinking glasses? We stayed for a month so probably experienced problems that wouldn't necessarily be present in a shorter stay, but our experience was disappointing.

A nice stay in Buenos Aires

We had a group ranging from two to five people (depending on the day). The apartment was very comfortable and is located in a nice neighborhood. The building and apartment has an interesting old-world feel. The supermarket is conveniently located a few doors down.

Stately apartment in great location

The apartment is just as it appears in the photos. The beds are comfortable, and the living areas are nice to spend time in with the floor to ceiling windows that let in lots of light. The location is wonderful as it is in a beautiful neighborhood, and it is a 15-20 minute walk to many of the city highlights.

Great location, wonderful hosts!

We loved our time at Jennifer and Colin's place in Buenos Aires! The beds are very comfortable which is key for a happy travel experience! The location is great! There are little shops all around, including a little bakery across the street. Buenos Aires is a large place so expect to take taxis as you tour the city. Jennifer and Cecelia were very accommodating with an early check-in and a late check-out which was so helpful. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend their place!

Elegant and Easy

From start to finish, everything was perfect! The meet up for the keys went seamlessly the apartment is grand; high ceilings, comfortable beds, beautifully furnished and in a very desirable neighborhood! Wonderful property with lots of natural light and high ceilings! We stayed here with our 8- and 9-year-old children. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, panaderias, parks, and public transit. A small issue with the hot water heater came up and the host, the local property manager, and the building’s doorman were all very fast to respond and helpful in getting a plumber in right away to fix the problem. We really enjoyed our stay here and would choose it again if (hopefully when!) we return to Buenos Aires!

Wonderful apartment!

The apartment was as described - very comfortable, with two bedrooms and two full baths. Nicely decorated. Very clean and welcoming. Plenty of space for suitcases/storage, etc. It was fun to "live like an Argentinian" while exploring Buenos Aires. Grocery store and great restaurants are within walking distance, as is a park facing the San Martin Palace. The owners suggested using Jorge as a taxi driver while in town (number provided in welcome packet) and he proved to be personable, reliable, and willing to help us in any way. I highly recommend using Jorge during your visit.The owners were very responsive to all of our questions, and accommodated our request for an early check-in. Cecilia (who met us at the apartment) was lovely and very helpful as well.Great place to stay!

Six nights in Buenos Aires

This apartment has so much character! From the ride up in the historic “lift” to the creaky hardwood floors, it’s a delight. We found the location perfect for walking and exploring, inexpensive Uber rides to places further away. We were greeted at the apartment by Laura, who showed us the ropes, then helped us during the week with requests. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful from first booking through final checkout. A few things need to be refreshed, which we reported, and received thanks from the owners for letting them know, It really is beautiful! I hope to stay again in the future.,

Convenient

House was clean, very well arranged, would come back. What i didn’t like is the coffee pot had no water tank, so i wasn’t please that i couldn’t have coffee every morning , that is a big deal to me. Also the slicer to cut onions had the knob missing so it didn’t work, and one of the candles was broke in half that was on table. Great house but need more attention to detail. I would come back if coffe pot was fixed.
