Quiet Times We are located in a small community and, although this is a mountain like area, it's home to others. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 8pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum.
Breakages and Missing Items We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately - if it's minor we usually won't charge. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!, etc. ) we would like to know before you leave to agree on the cost with you before you leave to avoid issues later. Our cleaners are very thorough, and they check our beautiful home from top to bottom so please make sure nothing walks away that should not. If it does, you will likely be charged. Thank you!
Smoking Policy This is a smoke-free home, to include vaping. If you smoke, please do it away from the home and covered deck areas of the home. Also, please ensure that you take cigarette butts, packs, etc. with you when you leave. If smoking is found to be inside you will be responsible for the smell or damage removal.
Pets We love animals and do allow responsible pet owners to bring their animals. There will be a pet fee (separate and not included in your rental that is non-refundable). This is to ensure that our cleaners can take extra care when an animal comes to stay.
Rules:
-Animals are not to be left alone inside the home. There is a soft collapsible crate in the garage if you forgot yours. If there is any damage from animals being left alone, you will be held responsible for those charges. -Animals should not be let on the bed linens. If your animal sleeps on the bed, it is your responsibility to bring your own blanket for the bed. We do this because sometimes fur doesn't come out of linens and our next guests may not appreciate it as much as us. -There are covers for the couches and chairs in the cabinets in the laundry room. If your animal gets on the furniture, it is your responsibility to ensure there are covers on the couches and chairs to avoid damage. If there is damage, you will be held responsible for costs to fix or replace. -Accidents sometimes happen. If your animal has an accident, it is to be cleaned up immediately with the cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink. Any damage or accidents left behind, you will be held responsible for the costs to fix or replace. -There are poop bags that are provided. They can be found in the drawers under the upstairs living room TV. All feces should be picked up from the yard and placed into the steel can near the trash can enclosure.
Just like with little humans, animals are like our children. That also means we are responsible for anything and everything they do.
Small Humans, Children, Kids, Young Adults, Their Friends, Etc. We love small humans and do allow responsible adults/parents to bring their kids.
Rules:
-Kids are no to be left alone inside the home. If there is any damage from your kids in general or from them being left alone, you will be held responsible for those charges. -The beds have waterproof mattress protectors on them. If your little one has an accident, please ensure that you remove all soiled bedding and wash/dry it. -Since you will know ahead of time that you are bringing along kids, we ask that you do not allow kids to jump on beds, climb all over, or run on the furniture. This is dangerous for your child and for our furniture. If there is damage, you will be held responsible for costs to fix or replace. -Accidents sometimes happen. If your child has an accident, it is to be cleaned up immediately with the cleaning supplies provided. Any damage or accidents left behind, you will be held responsible for the costs to fix or replace. -We also ask that you ensure your kids do not write, paint, etc. on walls. Like above, if there is any damage or repairs required you will be responsible.
We hope you enjoy the time with your kids but just like in regular life, this also means you are responsible for anything and everything they do.

Thank you for taking the time to review. If there was something that didn't fully meet your expectations please message me to let us know. I would have hoped we met all your expectations especially with accommodating a last minute change to the reservation based on your schedule changes.
The house was clean and comfortable. The beds were great and the kitchen was very well equipped. The only thing missing was a full length mirror . We plan to come back as it was very close to our daughter.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the feedback about the full length mirror. We previously had something similar on the wall but it was ripped off by a guest.
Very comfortable and easy to get to- very clean and plenty of room - Kristina is quick to respond and communication was never a problem! Great deck space- however did miss a dining table inside for everyone to sit together since it was too cold to eat outside, but not a big deal. The island had seats for 4 ! Enjoyed it so much!

Thank you for you kind words! In the design/build with the large island and seating at the island there wasn't enough room left for a dedicated dining area.
We are so glad you had a great time. We hope to see you again in the future.
Beautiful cabin with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed a very low key, relaxing weekend. I recommend this cabin and would love to visit again.

Thank you Philip. We were so glad you came back to stay with us. We look forward to hosting you next time.
Impeccable home!!! Highly recommend this house. We stayed for 3 nights in December for our son's graduation from App State. This home has every amenity you can imagine plus more! The beds were amazingly comfortable, rooms were spacious and had plenty of storage and closet space. The Kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance you could ask for. We were worried about weather and snow as they had a few inches before we arrived but the road is plowed regularly and the driveway is easy, paved and was a breeze to navigate even with a bit of snow so didn't even have to use our 4W drive vehicle. There was a spacious garage with an inside stairwell to unload and load luggage and supplies which was greatly appreciated in the cold weather. Couldn't be more pleased with this home. Was one of the best we've stayed in and will stay again!

This home is beautiful! It's a newer, spacious home, super clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you might need. We loved how secluded we were while also only 5 minutes to Downtown Boone. We enjoyed the wrap around deck Being dog friendly was a huge plus for us. No smell of dog here. Kristina was quick to respond and accommodating. We would highly recommend this home.

Why they chose this property
About the House:
This home broke ground to be built in February 2021 and was finalized at the beginning of December 2021. Nannie's Place is a 3-bedroom 3-bathroom home with a recreation room and garage. It also boasts covered composite decks on 2 sides of the home. It has an open floor plan with a large island for gathering.
Why We Built:
We decided to build here because this property has been in my family for over 50 years. My great-grandmother was Nannie. She helped raise me when I was growing up. Funny story, the house just above this one (going up the road) was where Nannie and Papa lived (they used to own the 2 homes above this property), and this piece of property was where they put a mobile home (super nice in the late 80's). Later the mobile home was where Papa lived (Nannie and Papa separated after many, many, many years of marriage but he still needed assistance because he was blind) and Nannie took care of him. Some years after Nannie passed away, I began taking care of things for Papa. He lived on this property until just before he passed away at 94 years old. My spouse and I love the area, the property, and now the home as it has a ton of sentimental value. When we moved back to the East Coast in late 2020, we decided that we were going to remove the really old mobile home and build a house. So, here you are sharing Nannie's Place with us! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
