This house is large and in a great location, but it needs some attention and maintenance. - Master bed mattress is too soft and has a serious dip on one side.- Door to outside on lower level doesn't lock.- Rugs and furniture have stains. The kitchen chairs in particular are too gross to use. The rugs need vacuuming.- Chairs at kitchen counter are too short to reach the counter.- Outdoor furniture and rugs are badly stained and mildewed. The deck also needs pressure washing.- The screened-in porch is dusty and dank. - The light switches are dirty, doors and walls need touch ups.- The fridge runs very loud. It needs attention. The ice dispenser doesn't work.- The griddle on the stovetop doesn't work.- The master bathroom toilet runs continuously and loudly. It needs a valve replacement. - Several bulbs out around the house. One of the remotes needs new batteries.We reached out to the property manager to report these things but got no response.The amenities at Big Canoe were top notch. We played golf and pickleball, used the gym, went on a hike, rented a boat and went fishing, and ate at the restaurant. It was not crowded, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely come back to Big Canoe, just not this house.
