About this property

Burnt Mountain Waterfront Log Cabin, with 6person Spa

Sitting on what is arguably the best lake lot on beautiful Lake Tamarack, escape to the lush Georgia Mountains and enjoy the views from your luxurious 6 person hot tub. Then take in the sunset while cozying up by the fire pit. Come for attractions nearby such as the amazing Amicalola Falls or Burnt Mountain and Sharp Top, or just stay in the resort and enjoy boating, horseback riding, golf, tennis and one of the two beautiful resort pools (fees will be charged for resort amenities). Just 44 miles from Marietta, the best of mountain living could be yours with SUP, Kayaks and Canoe for your use.

This beautiful hemlock three level cabin has it all. From gorgeous lake views (it is a lake lot), a massive back deck and front porch, to four bedrooms, high speed internet and a spacious kitchen. The home is in a storied mountain resort community half way up Burnt Mountain at the foot of Sharp Top with countless trails, falls, and lakes.

You will enter the home to a vaulted great room with natural stone chimney and mantle flanked by tall windows to the lake. This massive living room is open to the dining room and spacious kitchen. There is a powder room toilet just by the front door so the kids don't need to slip into the master bath on the same level. To the left (facing the lake), is the master suite with a full spacious master bath, ample storage, a king size bed, and a front porch overlooking the lake. Off of the Great Room is a massive back deck, perfect for dining or unwinding with gorgeous views.

Upstairs is an open loft with a full bathroom and flanked by two wonderful, large rustic bedrooms that sleep three in each room.

Downstairs, you can enter the house from the two car garage into a carpeted mud room with large windows to the lake. The lower level also hosts the laundry room, as well as a basement suite with full bathroom. There is an exterior door lake-side to the lower concrete patio for easy access to the lake.

The front yard gently slopes to the lake with one of the best views in the community. We provide 2 SUPs, two Kayaks, as well as a Canoe that you can launch from the house.

Thanksgiving to remember
Perfect getaway for our thanksgiving week break. The views were awesome. The host were super easy to work with and very kind. We took a day trip to Gibbs botanical gardens and spent a day in Downtown Jasper. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a get away to relax and just spend time together as a family.

Beautiful location for outdoor recreation
The house was exactly as described and pictured. It is absolutely beautiful. The view of the water from the back of the house is spectacular. The owner was terrific with communication, and the check-in and check-out procedures were very smooth. We had a blast with the paddle boards and the canoe. The hot tub was awesome! The beach was very pretty and the area was well-maintained (clean restrooms, shaded picnic area, nice play area...) A few things to consider- the driveway is VERY steep. It would not be feasible for anyone with mobility issues to navigate. As far as vehicles, our sedan made the steep incline, but we held our breath! The speed limit in the neighborhood is 20 miles per hour which is about as fast as you would want to travel on the steep, curvy roads. It takes 15 + minutes just to get out of the neighborhood. If traveling with a crowd, it is probably a good idea to take EVERYTHING you need and just stay put for the duration of the trip. There are plenty of things to do! All community amenities cost extra, so unless prior arrangements are made, guests do not have access to the pools. Overall, we had a great stay. The house was perfectly comfortable. We appreciated the availability of the washer and dryer since we spent a lot if time outdoors.

Beautiful cabin with lots to do
We had a great family vacation with 4 kids ranging from 6-12. They had a great time fishing off the bank, kayaking, and horseback riding. The cabin is equipped with puzzles and games for kids. Great communication from the hosts. In our experience, four-wheel drive is a plus to get in and out of the driveway which was a little tricky, especially if you aren’t used to steep angles. Overall great stay .

Great Cabin
This cabin is great for our party size - two grandparents get the basement suite, the parents on the first floor, and the teens in the loft. The host is amazing at communication. The driveway, however, is a nightmare. The neighborhood association is so not "user friendly. " It has a multitude of rules and they are just itching to give expensive tickets. We got one - we disagree but what proof could we possibly provide? Buyer Beware.
