Spoonbill Manor sits squarely in the middle of the hill country of Warsaw. You will find quick access to the water, newly added boat parking, good eats, marinas, antique and gift shops and beautiful views. In the manor, we have plenty of comfy furniture and a front patio with firepit, perfect for telling stories of the one that got away.
We invite furry friends, just not too, too many and crated when left alone please. All floors are vinyl so cleanup is nice and easy.
Hot cocoa and coffee are on the house, and we have a fish fryer for battering up the day's catch. There's candy for the kids (and the adults, too).
We have a washer & dryer available with soap provided. Also an Xbox in the master bedroom and kids toys in the second bedroom. The full size bed in the 2nd bedroom is a Sleep Number, too. Plus, there's an air conditioner and independent heat thermostat in each bedroom for perfect comfort control.
Spoonbill (paddlefish), crappie, carp, deer, goose and quail are just some of the game you will find in the Warsaw countryside. And you can't complain about a lack of fish or foul when you're smack dab in the middle of the Ozarks with plenty of water and free Corps of Engineers hunting land nearby.
And just so you know, we have security cameras on the exterior of the house, both front, back and sides. They are positioned to see the driveway, the front and backyard and the woods. They are not able to see into any windows. They are there for safety records only. They are not actively monitored. The footage is deleted on a rolling basis.

This was such a comfortable, well stocked place to stay. We would definitely rent again.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, location
It was nice to have a property that accepted dogs for our visiting family. The home needs repairs like caulking the tub and toilet, fixing the hanging dryer door, paint, etc. The home was not clean. The floors had not even been swept. The white washcloths looked liked they’d been used to shine shoes. I really hate leaving a negative review, but that would be unfair to future guests.
Host was nice to offer "extra's"! However the couch is in poor condition, both sides that recline broken. Allowing animals has definitely caused some damage to blinds as well as lingering "smell"! There were plenty of games & toys, but no place to put suitcases or clothing. Location is so very residential (not that anyone bothered us) just that the houses are right on top of each other...the road in & out of the residence is horrible. Filled with pot holes & parking for the boat was so difficult!! We had rented a boat slip for 2 days so to begin with it was just the trailer (which was a challenge because of the hill behind the drive even though host has rocks available). The day before checkout we brought the boat to the house & really didn't think we were going to be able to park overnight. Once we finally got it in the drive, the following morning to leave we didn't think we were going to get out! Cars parked on both sides of the "street" (gravel road) all day. Just not an ideal rental for someone "with a boat", suited more for people renting a boat there or visiting the dam!
Had a great time!! Checkin couldn’t have been easier, was clean and was able to find anything we needed as far as frying up some fish:) lake must be low as the boat ramp was fairly dried up. Great place to take the dogs and get away for a couple days and do some fishing.
My husband and I loved the Spoonbill Manor. It was just right for us. Quaint, vintage and cozy! Very clean and comfortable. Never had to ask Aaron for anything during our stay. He was very responsive though when needed.

About the host

My day job is freelance videography for a small business-related TV show, which takes me all over the Midwest and to a bit of the coasts. My moonlighting job is the novel I'm writing. I've lived in Virginia, Oklahoma, Israel and Missouri. I settled in Warsaw because my parents retired here, and they're the coolest. So, me being single, I like being around my folks! And I gotta be honest. Warsaw is pretty amazing, too. The people are friendly; the countryside is beautiful; the fish are biting!
Why they chose this property
I visited Warsaw all the time growing up. My great grandma Tunks lived here, and we spent many holidays playing in the Warsaw hillside. I wanted a little lake house like she had, so I bought one!
