About the host
Hosted by La Tegolaia
We bought this villa nearly ten years ago with one simple dream: to create a place where our family could spend long summer holidays together in the heart of Tuscany. From the very beginning, this house was meant to be lived in, shared, and enjoyed—not just admired.
Over the years, we carefully renovated the villa to raise the standard of living while preserving everything that gives it its authentic Tuscan and Italian character. Traditional materials, original details, and the timeless architecture were respected and restored, while modern comforts were thoughtfully integrated to make everyday life easy and enjoyable. The goal was never to transform the villa into something new, but to allow it to evolve naturally, staying true to its history and soul.
Because this has always been our family home, every space was designed with comfort, warmth, and togetherness in mind. The seven bedrooms allow everyone to have privacy, while generous communal areas invite long meals, conversations that last late into the evening, and relaxed days spent together. It is a villa made for real living—whether that means cooking with local ingredients, opening the windows to the countryside air, or simply slowing down and enjoying the rhythm of Tuscany.
Set in Pelago, near Florence, the villa offers the best of both worlds: easy access to Tuscany’s most beautiful historic cities and the peace of the countryside that first made us fall in love with this place. After a decade of family memories, we are delighted to share our home with guests who value authenticity, comfort, and the unique feeling of a house that has truly been loved.

Why they chose this property
Our family villa in Tuscany offers the ideal balance between culture, comfort, and countryside charm. Located in Pelago, 20min outside Florence, the villa features 7 spacious bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together.
We chose this location deliberately: close enough to reach some of Tuscany’s most iconic historic cities—Florence, Siena, Arezzo, and Pisa—yet far enough to truly unwind in the peace and beauty of the Tuscan countryside. Here, days begin with rolling hills, olive groves, and birdsong, and end with long dinners, local wine, and unforgettable sunsets.
Whether you want to explore art, history, and gastronomy during the day or relax at the pool by the villa surrounded by nature, our home offers the best of both worlds: easy access to Tuscany’s treasures and the serenity of rural life.

What makes this property unique
What makes our villa truly unique is the way it blends authentic Tuscan character with modern comfort. During the renovation, we were careful to raise the standard of living without erasing the soul of the house. Every choice was made with respect for the villa’s Italian heritage—preserving traditional materials, proportions, and atmosphere—while discreetly integrating contemporary comforts that today’s guests expect.
The result is a villa that feels genuinely Tuscan, not staged or generic. Think original details, timeless architecture, and a sense of history, combined with high-quality finishes, comfortable living spaces, and thoughtfully updated amenities. It is a home where you can enjoy rustic charm without sacrificing ease, style, or functionality.
Set in the peaceful countryside near Pelago, the villa offers a rare experience: the authenticity of rural Tuscany paired with a level of comfort that makes long stays effortless and relaxing. It is a place to slow down, gather together, and experience Tuscany as it truly is—beautiful, welcoming, and lived in.
