There is a large yard with fire pit, snowmobile & walking trail access out back. A 5 minute walk to the beach & boat launch on Maranacook lake, as well as multiple local eateries and shops. We loved this property! It was the perfect respite for us with our two small children during our week of travels, including ability to do laundry. The kids had space upstairs to sleep with two twins so that we adults could relax after bedtime downstairs, reading books or watching tv without worrying we’d wake them. The house was very clean and I loved the decor. The white walls made great lighting for studio- level photos of my kids playing in the mornings. We also loved being able to go exploring in the woods in the backyard and had a picnic with our cousins in the forest who live nearby! We are already talking about when we can come back and this will definitely be our first choice for housing when we return.

Delightful place

We had a great weekend with this great ‘condo’ spot, to take a break from our usual routines. Wonderfully decorated and super clean space. Just what we needed. Winthrop is a great town to explore. Thanks very much!

Modern comfort as advertised

Practically brand new property near the lake in Winthrop was as advertised. Clean comfortable two bedroom, one and a half bath, modern kitchen, living area and outdoor deck was just the respite one needs when visiting Maine. The host was communicative before, during and after the stay and let us enjoy the house at our leisure. In one word, delightful!

Wedding weekend

So Happy that we were less than a minute to the wedding venue. Worked out so wonderfully. Loved the place, so cute and clean. The perfect space. The host was super nice and attentive. I was super satisfied.

Myself, Tracey and my husband, Mark, have 5 children in a blended family. We are very active in our community and enjoy seasonal activities such as boating, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling and more. Mark is a carpenter, I am a pediatric nurse, a massage therapist and a photographer.

Why they chose this property

Mark is a very talented carpenter, he and I rebuilt a previously existing rental property next to our home. We tore down the original rental building, which was once a chicken coop, and rebuilt it from the ground up with all the amenities we would want if we were staying here! Winthrop is a unique and wonderful small town with so many benefits to offer! We are a 5min walk to town, to the local beach and boat launch on Maranacook lake. We are the same walking distance to many local eateries, a brewery and local shops. We also own 38 acres and have a connecting trail to the ITS (Interconnected Trail System) for snowmobiling in our back yard. We have views of the lake and a large yard.

There are trails directly out back for hiking and snowmobiling. There is a supermarket and 24/hr gas station/convenience store and drug store all within a 5min drive. We are 15 min from Maine's capitol. We are 30min to Lost Valley Ski area, 1 hour from Sugarloaf, Saddleback and Sunday River ski resorts. There are 5 golf courses within a 20 min drive.
