Relaxing Ranch Retreat: 2 houses on 115 acre working Ranch - Sleeps up to 30

Wake up to the beautiful rolling hills, sip your coffee with our cows and donkeys in view. Enjoy nature and animals, along with a little pampering in our newly remodeled main house - Live Oak Lodge, or guest house - Pine Cottage. We have room for 10 adults to sleep comfortably in 5 bedrooms, and 2 more on a fold out couch. Additional sleeping arrangements can be made to accommodate up to 18 more guests, with folding mattresses in the Cypress Room Studio and/or camping spots on site near our yoga lawn. The houses and the Cypress Room studio are also available separately under different listings if you don’t need both houses or just want the studio event space. Relaxing escape from the rat race

The property is in an amazing location. Very tastefully decorated. We had a couple of minor issues while staying and the owners response to correct was immediate. We will not be disappointed if you stay at the ranch with the donkeys.

A slice of country heaven

We spent four days at Takoda on a girls trip and loved every moment of it. From the yoga to the tour of the ranch to feeding the horse and mules and cows to an absolutely stunning sunset, the property was truly heaven. We rented both house and the accommodations were comfortable with everything we needed. We did a lot of cooking so enjoyed having a good stock of cooking supplies in the kitchen. Also loved toasting s'mores over the firepit. I frankly didn't want to even post a review because I'd rather keep this special place a secret. We can't wait to come back.

Renee is an attorney, advisory wealth planner and entrepreneur at heart. She has traveled the world and experienced a wide variety of healing modalities and is proud to bring all of those experiences to our nature preserve and ranch.
Renee and her family are residents of Brooksville and live right down the road from the ranch. Everyone in her family is involved in the day to day operations, from land and cattle management to running the equestrian non-profit and other horse related activities. Her favorite part of the ranch is the feeling of peace she gets when driving slowly up the gravel driveway from the gate and seeing the horses and cows in the pastures on top of the hill. The UTV rides for night and morning checks are also a favorite because she gets to visit the cows and the horses and enjoy the sunsets!
