Listen, we get it. Hotels can sometimes feel a bit…impersonal.  Our adorable, eclectic cottage is in a lovely country area with gorgeous huge oak trees located on private gated property. It's that place to get away from it all, except we do offer free WiFi and Netflix!

Windows in the cottage let in lots of sunlight and provide an excellent view of the surroundings where you will see chickens, dogs, & cats. You're likely to spot a hawk or two, crows, sandhill cranes, & maybe even a raccoon or opossum.

Enjoy a cozy place to spend the evening as you gaze up at the unpolluted night sky.

1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage plus sleeper sofa in main living space.

Note that homeowners are on same property. Note that the dogs and chickens are active on the property.

Great place in FL country

The property is beautiful, many big live oaks with Spanish moss. I enjoyed watching the happy chickens on the property. Close to springs and hiking. Hosts were so friendly and kind. Cottage had everything I needed, very comfortable and cozy. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Florida Country Dream

The Harmony Oaks Homestead is a beautiful property. The owners are lovely. I am obsessed with every single detail of this cottage, literally down to the door handle. Inside you’ll also find a thoughtfully curated list of local restaurants and brochures for all the local state parks. The aesthetic is so country and dreamy here. I already miss the chickens!

NYE Getaway

Me and my husband decided to get away from the city life and go to the beautiful area of Brooksville to reflect, goal set and relax. This cottage was the perfect place! It’s a cute, quaint cottage that has everything you really need. Brian, the host, was extremely friendly, and helpful. The dogs on the property are adorable along with the chickens. We were lucky enough to even get fresh eggs for breakfast the next day! We enjoyed a fire out back and a cookout along with their swings. We recommend the winery near by where we got to pick fresh fruit and vegetables while enjoying some fruit wine tasting. They also offer farm to table dining. Overall we had a great stay and recommend this place to those who appreciate a nice quiet getaway in a remote area. Thanks again for everything! We would definitely come back again!

We had an amazing stay in the cottage. From the cottage it’s self to the host themselves!

Our stay was perfect. The property was beautiful and for our first “airbnb” we were overall beyond impressed. We look forward to staying again in the near future. If your looking for a place like home away from home this is definitely up that ally! We loved every bit of our stay!!!

We live in the main house and there is no doubt you will spot us around the property during your stay.

Why they chose this property

Fell in love with the area - there's a good reason it's called the Nature Coast of Florida. This is a haven for nature lovers like ourselves. Everything we could possibly need on a regular basis is an easy drive from the homestead, but it's so nice to escape back to the serenity of our countryside location.

When people think of Florida they often think of Disney & beaches. If that's you, you MUST check out our area of Florida. Rolling hills (albeit on the smaller side), lush green pastures, huge oak trees, and a stones throw from marshy areas. We love love love the natural springs - we jump at the chance to share our experience with the springs with our guests. Mind you, lots of beaches to share info on as well!

What makes this property unique

Love waking up to the roosters crowing & then later in the day collecting farm fresh eggs. Pasture raised chickens who are very happy because they are never contained against their will. Happy to share some of our freshly collected eggs with you!

Love watching the chickens roam free as well as the dogs & cats. So pleasant to watch them do their thing without hindrance from us humans. We often spot hawks, crows & other birds as well as the occasional raccoon & opossum.

Love seeing our guests enjoy the various swings & such on our homestead. It’s a blessing to share our little slice of heaven with others.
