Located within walking distance to Goodwood Park and is in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Baton Rouge. The neighborhood has large lots with tons of beautiful and mature trees. Lots of families and neighbors walk, bike, and run down the quiet and safe street. 6.4 miles from LSU.

This spacious 920sf attached mother-in-law suite is the perfect get away. The home is bright and cheery. You can sleep 4 guests plus an infant. The owners do live on the property, but you have a private space and your own private entrance. The home sits on 1/2 an acre.

When you arrive, you have 2 parking spots to use on the righthand side of the driveway. There are pavers and a sidewalk that lead you up to your private and newly renovated (January 2022) front porch. Enjoy the new outdoor furniture which seats 4. The porch has a brand-new metal roof, Cypress beams, and a horizontal privacy fence which allows plenty of natural light. Feel free to turn on the string lights and enjoy the views!

Upon keyless entry, you will notice how well appointed and bright the home is. The new queen sofa bed has been upgraded with a memory foam mattress. There are also two large cozy sitting chairs with tons of pillows and a throw blanket to curl up with. Feel free to kick back and watch a movie on the new 55" smart TV equipped with Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and Disney +. There are games to enjoy in the media cabinet. You will also find a record player with a selection of records to choose from. There is a desk with writing materials, guest book, and charging station for multiple devices. New recessed lighting added to den in September 2024.

The dining area features a wet bar with a Keurig coffee and tea station, bar height dining table with bar chairs, and nice artwork. There is a small couch here for extra seating. You have a cute kitchen immediately off of the dining area. The kitchen has all the amenities you will need including a stainless-steel refrigerator, retro microwave, dish washer, oven (replaced in 2023), and washer and dryer. The sink faucet system was upgraded and is brand new (March 2022). There is a window here which allows you to view our chicken coop and chickens.

The apartment was renovated a few years ago, and the bathroom is the best part. The bathroom is extremely well designed, and you truly feel like you are in a hotel or spa. The floors are HEATED! The sink and spacious shower are wheelchair accessible and equipped with support bars. The large shower has 2 sets of sprayer nozzles and a large seat. There is no tub. There is a baby bath available to use in or out of the shower. There is a robe for your use. There is a large walk-in closet off the bathroom where extra sheets, towels, soaps, portable baby crib & memory foam mattress, baby bed sheets, toilet paper, laundry hamper, hangers, ironing board, and iron are kept.

The bedroom is located right off the den, and the bathroom can be entered from here or from the dining area. This room is extremely spacious, has nice wood floors, a 42" smart TV, full length mirror, matching bedside tables and dresser from Nadeau, and a king-sized Serta I-Comfort adjustable and vibrating bed! Each side of the bed can be controlled and adjusted independently of one another by 2 different remotes. You will have a much-needed heavenly rest! There is a new Brookstone sleep machine (March 2022) with built-in timer next to the bed. We always stock pillow spray, room spray and coasters to use. We also recently replaced the fan and upgraded to a 56" with LED lights and a remote control. It puts out plenty of air which is perfect in the summer months.

This mother-in-law suite has its own ac unit, heater, duct work and thermostat completely separate from the home it is attached to.

We have 2 bikes available upon request. The teal bike is the most fun and comfortable and is equipped with lights on both tires and the handlebars. There is a bike air pump, bike tool kit, and a bike lock for you to use. You must lockup bikes when not in use or you will be liable if they go missing.
