Enjoy the relaxing and fun atmosphere of this one of a kind log house. It is tucked in the mountains at the “end of the road” in the old mining town of Jardine, Montana, which is 6 miles northeast of Gardiner – the north entrance to Yellowstone Park. This place offers a nice balance between seclusion and easy access to endless sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
The North Fork of Bear Creek is only about 100 yards below. It is a beautiful mountain stream and the fishing is good! Nights are quiet and peaceful. And the night sky is brilliant – take time to gaze at the stars.
This house is rustic and has lots of character. It is clean and cozy, but the layout and decor aren’t too fussy or uptight. The original portion of the house was built in 1994 with logs skidded out of the forest with a team of Percheron horses and peeled by hand. It includes an open kitchen with appliances and dishes. There is a deck where you can kick back and take in the scenery. One bathroom has an antique clawfoot tub. There is a loft/bedroom with a homemade queen size log bed. There is a nice sounding old piano for the fun of it.
A versatile 'great' room, which includes a bar (with sink, fridge and TV) and a full bathroom was added on to the house in 2001, and it is ideal for entertaining and hanging out. There are antlers, tanned hides, antiques, etc. throughout the house – sort of a wildlife/western theme. There is a large yard with trees, a picnic table, and a firepit. The native wildflowers are beautiful and plentiful. And various species of birds and wildlife will share this property with you.
There are also two convertible sofa beds in addition to a bedroom and the loft. The unique floor plan of this home can easily and comfortably accommodate a group of 6. This property is kid friendly and your well behaved pets are welcome too!

We absolutely loved staying here! It was so nice to have a quiet place to return to after the business of the park. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here!
AMAZING stay. We absolutely loved the cabin. Just about anything you could reasonably need is there. Clean, cozy, and peaceful. One of the best places we’ve stayed anywhere, period. Will definitely be back!
Relaxing environment, plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with anything needed to prepare a meal. All the little touches made us feel at home.
This cabin is exactly as stated online. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Absolutely beautiful property! My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and totally recommend!
The house was exactly as shown. Especially clean with all the amenities needed for wonderful stay. Communication with owner was best I have ever experienced, will make this my go to location if in area again.
We had an incredible time in this rustic and fairly remote cabin. If you’re looking to get away from it all, there can hardly be a better place. Becky was flexible and accommodating, while being easy to communicate with. This was our first time using vrbo, and I could not have asked for a better experience.
The owners, Lloyd and Becky were outstanding owners of this paradise! Everything was great about the cabin, surroundings, and supplies. It was very hard to leave. Thank you very much for sharing your paradise with us!!!
The cabin was perfect for our two week stay. Becky and Loyd provided everything including plenty of wood for the wood stove. The cabin literally had everything we needed to feel at home and very clean! Staying outside of Gardiner was great. The park entrance was 20 minutes away.6 miles of dirt road with many washboards was the only negative. It did get graded the last three days we were there which helped a lot.
Such a beautiful place, wonderful rustic home, stocked better than any other rental we’ve been to. Becky and Lloyd are great hosts, happy to help. Location is so close to Yellowstone so much better than staying in Gardner.
This cabin is great! Clean and fully stocked. Lovely remote location but easy access to the park. The hosts were very nice, and Lloyd checked in to ensure we were ok. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to return.
A perfect rustic cabin in the mountains. Very comfortable and a beautiful. This was a perfect home base for our yellowstone vacation. Cabin had everything we needed.
We LOVED the cabin and its uniqueness, beauty, and quiet location. It is very roomy and so well stocked with all that you could need. We hope to come back again!
This is a beautiful cabin ! They provided everything we needed plus a lot of extas. It was extremely clean and decorated beautifully. We loved our stay. Thank you Becky ans Lloyd.
This cabin is great, it is well stocked and has everything you need. The only downside might be the distance from Gardiner up a mostly gravel road but otherwise no complaints.
An incredible getaway for our family. Close enough to Yellowstone but quiet and far enough from the park to wind down each evening. Our family loved the drive up the mountain each day and sitting on the porch in the evening listening to the creek.
Looking for a quiet, remote get away? This beautiful cabin has it all. Well equipped, comfortable, and stunning views. Close to Yellowstone and yet a short drive to get away from the crowds. The road leading to the cabin can be a little rough, but well worth the drive. I highly recommend this cabin!
Property was clean, Kitchen perfect for cooking meals.Beds were comfortable and owner had everything ready for us to enjoy our stay. Wood stove had wood ready to go to have cozy cabin in just a few minutes. We spent our days exploring Yellowstone and the cabin was just minutes from park entrance.
This was a great place for us to stay. Becky thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful property.
