The host is really welcoming. Sent out detailed check-in instructions earlier and followed up for any questions. The location is very good. Short walk or one stop shuttle ride to both base areas. Definitely will come back again.
We had a fantastic stay! Patty was super-responsive before and during our stay. The condo was great. It had lots of room for the 6 of us. We'd be happy to stay again!
The condo is just as pictured and described. Plenty of room for the whole family. Very cozy and comfortable. Owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with
The place was fantastic as was the host! Plenty of space, but also cozy, warm, and welcoming. Also, the ample supply of spices and cooking tools made the week that much more seamless and easy. The whole family really enjoyed the week we spent here grappling with wild and fun weather. Great location, and can be at the front of every lift line well before anyone makes it to the resort. Top notch!!
The kitchen is huge! Very easy for our group of 8 to simultaneously prepare meals. Can’t beat the location, walking distance to lifts and Kirkwood Village, off the shuttle stop if you feel especially tired or want to head to x-country center.
We were a party of 5. Each person had their own bed. The kitchen was huge and great for cooking large meals. It was stocked with all the necessary utensils. Location was a short walk to the lifts. Access was easy using the codes they provide. It was clean and comfortable for our group.
We were there for a wedding about 20 miles away and it worked out well. There were only three of us, but it easily could accommodate eight or ten.
The kitchen has a great layout with two sinks, but was kinda dirty, with coffee grounds and food chunks in the sink.
It was also very dusty, maybe cuz it was summer and probably doesnt get used as much.
The bedrooms were great size, beds were comfortable, bathrooms had good supplies.
Overall I would say very comfortable but should have been cleaner.

Wonderful time for a family with diverse winter interests
This is a lovely condo. The photos in the description accurately reflect the spaces, and, if anything, some of our group thought everything was better than the photos! Everything was clean. The kitchen is great for cooking and living room great for gathering for a movie, playing cards on the trestle table, and enjoying the coziness of the fire place. The owner was very helpful and responsive before and during our stay. All questions and concerns were quickly attended to and resolved.
Our family enjoyed snowboarding and downhill skiing - so fun that they could end the day coming right to the hill above the condo. Though its not the biggest mountain in California, Kirkwood has plenty of challenging terrain. Others enjoyed showshoeing, cross-country skiing, and sledding. And all of us took at least one day to enjoy watching the Rose Bowl (go Stanford!) and hanging out together in the beautiful living room. There were quite a few New Year's Eve activities that were available here at Kirkwood too. We brought up most of our food for the week, but were happy to just walk to the general store and find milk, eggs, etc. as needed. In fact, our car stayed in the garage for all five days we were here.
Except for at the Kirkwood cross-country ski place on highway 80 and the downhill rental place, the staff we ran into at Kirkwood were very helpful and friendly. Two guys even offered to take our trash to the dumpster when they saw me walking with it! (The people at the rental places weren't bad, just a bit clueless.)
I plan to recommend this place to anyone I know. We lived and worked at Fallen Leaf Lake, near South Lake Tahoe for 10 years before moving to the Bay Area, and we had always loved coming over to this area on highway 88. Kirkwood has all the amenities of some of the bigger ski resorts, but still has the charm of a small, more secluded and relaxed community.
Thanks to Patty for making this place available and I hope we can return again next year.
Great location within walking distance (5-10 min) to Kirkwood lifts.
Townhouse is nicer than the pictures reveal - modern, spacious, nicely decorated. Great areas to eat, relax and play as family. We had multiple large family dinners which the kitchen easily accommodated. Bedrooms and bathrooms all spacious. Don't miss the awesome jacuzzi tub in the master bath - a must after skiing.
The garage is tight for two cars (it's the design of the building) but it works. We easily got a parking pass for a free lot close by for a third car.
Patty is a responsive and caring host!
Comfortable condo close to lifts with a great kitchen and really enjoyable spa tub. Other than inadequate lighting in the common room (dead lightbulb) and problems with accessing good tv shows, we liked it and the overall experience was good ! The owner was easy to reach which we needed to do to get the correct code for entry. We would recommend it.
Amazing condo and very helpful and friendly hosts. Can't wait to go back!

Fun in Kirkwood
(Stayed in late July/early August 2012) For years, our family has spent one summer week a year in Kirkwood. We go to Kirkwood to hike, play frisbee golf, and to enjoy the rec center and it's pool. We enjoy Kirkwood in the summer as it is empty, very quiet, and probably the most beautiful of the Sierra resorts . Essentially, Kirkwood is our perfect place to recharge after a trip to Disneyland or Las Vegas. In Kirkwood, we have rented homes, condos, and from Kirkwood Accomodations which is the resort's lodging. We decided to try a condo at Timber Ridge and we are happy we did so. This condo has a more modern feel over what you get thru Kirkwood Accomodations condo rentals and has a private garage that can fit two cars. In our case, we were able to fit our car and all the bikes we had brought up with us with plenty of room to spare. It was nice being able to just hop on and off our bikes from the garage entrance. The bike ride to the pool and/or frisbee golf course takes only a matter of minutes. The owners are also very easy to reach and provide clear instructions on how to enter the property. We had to reach the owner once while we were at the property and we were able to reach them on our first try. It was reassuring that the owner's were available and it is clear they care about guests and the property. The damage deposit was refunded in a timely matter as well. The unit itself is spacious and the family room has a nice flat screen TV on the wall. Everything from the kitchen to bathrooms are modern which is what you would expect from a luxury condo in Kirkwood. The place is perfect for three couples (each would have own bathroom) or for two families with multiple kids. Lastly, the condo appears to be safe. The unit is two levels and all the windows are well above ground level. Lastly, you do get full access to the rec center. No additonal fees. The rec center has treadmills, other work out equipment, a ping pong table, and a heated pool/jacuzzi with a awesome 360 degree mountain view. We hope to come back to this property many times in the future. Kudos to the owners for allowing guests to rent this great property.....

Spring ski trip, April 10-15, 2011
Easy walk & ski to Cornice & Solitude chairs.
Fabulous spring rate at this property (as well as a great price on the Kirkwood spring pass,
though the backside of the mountain is closed).
From the eye-popping kitchen, which is still fun for serious daily cooking, on through the great room,
bedrooms & bathrooms, it's all very luxe! Extra nice furnishings and finishes. Use of the private garage (double car length) allows storage of all wet gear - no damp carpets! Owner is a pleasure to deal with.
We were six people, so this was very spacious for us.

Great Kitchen, Great Condo, Easy Communications
Kirkwood has such good snow, sometimes you can actually get snowed in for a day or two. Happened to us, but thankfully we were at this beautiful, well laid out condo. It is tastefully decorated, and those of us who like to cook and eat loved the kitchen and the eating area. Furnishings are higher end; very comfortable beds. Everything worked as expected. As importantly, owners are easy to communicate with and rental transaction was easy, fair, and smooth. Gonna rush to re-book for next year before this review generates too much business...

Perfect All Around
A perfect condo for multiple families and couples. The condo is
extremely beautiful, spacious and offers privacy for many people. Bedrooms
are comfy, cozy, and inviting....each with private baths! Fantastic kitchen filled with
modern appliances and all the cooking utensils that you need...even a coffee grinder for
those of us who want the perfect cup each morning.
The condo is very well kept with modern decor and new everything, so
it really feels like a luxury home getaway. The location is perfect. A 5 min walk to
the slopes and that's it. Perfect if you've got little ones and need to get
back in a flash, or just want to get back with ease.
Last, but not least, the owners are kind and inviting, which
made for easy booking and coordination of our weekend spent
in Kirkwood.
We are husband, wife and 2 boys. Bob is a Structural Engineer and Patty is a Physician Assistant. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we love being up at Kirkwood.
Why they chose this property
We love Kirkwood because there isn't a lot of 'fuss'. The mountain speaks for itself, you don't need also the fancy stuff to entice you to come.
What makes this property unique
Kirkwood has some of the best skiing in the Sierra's. The resort boasts the highest base elevation at 7800 feet, and challenging terrain, which ensures the best likelihood of snow in warmer storms. Kirkwood is also a great place for families, and is less geared towards partiers.
