Country Escape - Live to be Wild

Peaceful Country Retreat One Bedroom Cabin. Fully equipped and ready for you to RELAX in Nature. Enjoy coffee on your covered front porch while watching wildlife and birds. Meander out to the Rustic Saloon (BYOB) (reserve prior to arrival for use) . Wifi, Netflix and Roku movies for your enjoyment and Escape from it all. Approximately 20 minutes from downtown Waco. Outdoor shower is located at the Laundry/Bath cottage. Each Cabin has its own fully equipped bath with shower. $35 charge per guest for guest 3 and 4. Cabins are tiny and suitable for a couple, but can sleep up to 4. Wonderful stargazing and wildlife sounds at night. Bonfires allowed when no burn ban is in effect. Be Our Guest! Bubbling Hot tub (in private fenced enclosure) is shared . Quiet hours must be observed at 9 pm to 8 am.
Pet approved on individual basis (pet fee applies based on pet and length of stay). No smoking/vaping or illegal drugs.

Hot tub is a great place at night for stargazing. Relax and enjoy the solitude of finding your soul again. You will enjoy "Far Niente" the art of doing nothing.... RELAX...owner/mgr has right to close amenities for safety reasons.

If it is stormy, we offer a tornado shelter for your use in case of emergency during bad weather.

Bring food and drinks and let us know if you need anything.

Won't you be our guest and treat yourself to time away from the big city and people. We have books and some games in cabins for your enjoyment. Free Netflix, roku, and many other movie channels available.

We are happy to host well behaved dogs, who can abide by our pet policy, and our pet fee. We cannot host more than two small dogs at a time or one large dog. No giant dogs allowed, please.

Stay for a day or a month or longer... we are happy you found us. Enjoy taking a wine tour through many parts of central texas while staying here.

Perfect

We so enjoyed our stay. Didn’t know what quite to expect. But was pleasantly surprised. It was so well equipped e could have left everything at home but food & clothes. Loved all the little extras. Extremely quiet & peaceful; yet still close to everything we wanted to do. We got to meet the owners who were very nice & down to earth. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

Wonderful Getaway

Such a cute place, all the amenities we needed, and even some that were a pleasant surprise. We wanted something quiet and out-of-the-way, but also not too terribly far to go do fun stuff and this spot was the perfect combination. We will for sure be back!!

We maintain this retreat "for your enjoyment" We are country, and escaped the city long ago, as we enjoy the peace and solitude of being away from it all. We have lived our dream in the islands and sailed half way around the world, while exploring unique lodging options in beautiful places. Our favorite was our own stateroom on the sailboat, as it was tiny, equipped and had everything we needed for the journey... we offer that to you here.

My native name is Blue Eagle, from my Cherokee heritage (from the Trail of Tears), and on maternal side a Daugher of the Republic of Texas. Very proud 6th generation Native Texan.

Less is more, explore my adorable design and craftsmanship in each cabin. Each cabin is decorated and furnished a little different. San Jacinto, Alamo, Goliad and Lone Star Cabins...

Private cabin, away from it all. Fully equipped for ease of transition during your private getaway. Just bring food and drinks. We provide a very clean, cozy, comfortable cabin with netflix and roku streaming tv/movies. Fantastic star gazing, and private bon fire pits. Steamy, bubbling hot tub (place occupied sign on gate for privacy).

What makes this property unique

Peaceful, quiet setting in the country. Hear the sounds of birds, occasional deer, and wildlife sounds. Feed the mini donkeys their special treats, and enjoy fresh eggs from our farm chickens.
