Host, Robard, was amazing. We had a noise in the bottom floor room and ha came over to fix it at midnight. Once we realized he couldn't, he moved us to another property that was stunning. He went above and beyond.
Beautiful property. Very clean and well maintained. It has everything you could possibly need for a vacation home. The kayaks and paddle boards were a very fun bonus to the property! Thanks for letting us use your space. We made a lot of memories here!
Situated on Somes Bay, this VRBO has excellent views of the mountains and the bay with an ever changing view of the low and high tides. We enjoyed watching mergansers, Canadian Geese, Mallard Ducks, Loons and an Eagle. Perfectly located for our trips touring Acadia this property also boasts comfort and style! Beautifully appointed with touches of whimsy and an upscale design makes this our favorite Vrbo stay yet. Robard was prompt and courteous in reply to our queries and was a most gracious host! You will not be disappointed with this lovely property. A perfect 10!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this house! The views were amazing, and we used the binoculars each day to watch the eagles, gulls, and ducks. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We kayaked at sunset and captured a rainbow in the clouds. Our family made treasured memories that will last forever!
Great location. House had everything we needed and very clean.View was wonderful, we enjoyed watching the tide, eagles, and even seals. Robard quick to respond!
Outstanding location! Robard was easy to communicate with, and the property was squeaky clean. Perfect location to check out Acadia national Park. Very enjoyable to drink coffee and look out at the wildlife. Eagles, sea gulls, otters and ducks! Fantastic place and we will be back!
Everything about the property is great. Location is fabulous - made more interesting by eagles and mergansers feeding below the falls and elver fishermen working at low tide.Beds are extremely comfortable, and the basement bedroom bathtub was a big hit. The EV charger is quite helpful since there are no public chargers on MDI. Robard is an excellent and responsive host. We hope to be back.
Five Stars isn't enough for the property. The property was very clean & the views from the home were beautiful. The communication between myself and the Host was fantastic. Notifications were sent out timely prior to check-in and checkout. Any follow-up questions I had, the Host was prompt and ready to help. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!
Hosts are extremely communicative and welcoming, giving lots of tips and tricks and recommendations to explore. Great central location, close to Acadia. Beautiful view when the tide is in, and loved having the use of kayaks at our fingertips.
The house was very clean and the owners took great care to ensure their property was taken care of by guests, too. The view from the waterfront side of the house was excellent. The communication and response time from the host was exceptional.
This property with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths was perfect for three couples. The location is great, and you can bird right from the dining room. The only negative was some of the sheets were a little rough/pilled. Would stay here again.
Easy to get many places from the house. Beautiful views from the large windows. Access to Acadia very close and many restaurants and shops nearby. Beautiful house - we enjoyed our stay very much.
We enjoyed our stay. Robard was very helpful and offered great recommendations. The house had everything we needed. The views are amazing. We could have spent the week just watching the birds right outside the window. Beds are comfortable, and the house is in s great location.
What a great place to stay. Very clean and the owners were so detailed with check-in and check-out instructions. Short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We’ve stayed in several VRBOs and I can say these were the most comfortable beds yet. We spent every day watching the eagles from the dock and got some great pics of them too.
The home was beautiful and perfect for our family. Loved being on the Sound and thoroughly enjoyed the high and low tides. Property manager was quickly responsive when we had a question.
