Enjoy a one of a kind experience in the historic Saugerties firehouse. The residence is filled with natural light with sweeping views of the Esposus Creek and Catskill Mountains.
A quick walk to Main St. and all of the great restaurants the village has to offer. An easy drive to some of the state's best hikes, vineyards, breweries and antique stores. 30 minutes to Hunter Mountain. 1.5 hours from the GWB.
A great space for a weekend away, work from home week or friends and family getaway.
The space
Casa Fuego has recently been gut renovated. It is a chef's dream with top of the line Kitchen Aid appliances, a grand island and many other amenities. Upstairs, there are two cozy queen sized bedrooms, and a luxury bathroom with a heated toilet and bidet. The house also has a level two electric car charger.
Downstairs is an open floor plan that connects the kitchen to the former truck room.
Guest access
Guests can access the entire space via coded entry. There is a parking spot directly in front of the house and one other along the fence on the side of the house. The village has free parking across the street that is usually available.
Other things to note
Saugerties is a quintessential Hudson Valley town. A great place to go and get away from the city for a day, weekend, week or month.
No car, no worries - The Rhinecliff train station is a 25 minute drive and the village is less than a 5 minute walk away.
If you do have a car, there is even more to access. It is easy to get to:
-Hunter & Windham Mountains
-Kingston, Hudson, Stone Ridge, Catskill & Rhinebeck
-State Parks & Hikes - Minnewaska, Overlook Mountain, Kaaterskill Forest, Ashokan Rail Trail
Please note that the village's second firehouse is located across the street. The alarm does not go off frequently (probably two or three times a week for a minute or two) but is loud.
