This is our second time staying at this cabin. The cabin is close to many parks and attractions, but far enough away from neighbors to offer some privacy.
Overall, this property was very nice and appropriately advertised. The property manager was responsive, informative and easy to contact. Would stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay here! Everything was so nice, clean, & we had everything we needed! It rained the entire weekend, but the canopy over the hot tub was perfect! Absolutely gorgeous location. We will be staying here again!

So happy you enjoyed your stay. Would love to host you again!
This was our second year staying at the cabin. We had a lot of fun. It’s a great little getaway spot for a quiet weekend (or middle of the week trip in this case)

So glad to have you all back at the cabin again this year! Hope you all can make it a family tradition!
We had a fun weekend. Birthday celebrations and 2 hikes a short drive away. The cabin was had everything advertised but the caretakers need to up their game on housekeeping.
Cozy, private ski cabin close to Seven SpringsWe stayed here for a ski trip with four people and really enjoyed the cabin and setting. The property is in a beautiful, quiet spot by a small pond and is an easy drive to Seven Springs, but you definitely want a 4x4 in winter for the roads. The listing is very accurate in terms of photos, size, and overall feel, so there were no surprises when we arrived. The cabin was very clean when we checked in, including the bathrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms. The hot tub was a highlight of the stay – it worked great, was nice and hot, and was perfect for relaxing after skiing. The location and privacy were also huge positives; it feels like a true cabin experience, not like staying in a big resort or hotel. Communication from the host was great as well, with clear instructions and no issues during the stay.A couple of things to be aware of: the cabin uses baseboard heat, so it can feel a bit colder at times, especially the floors. It’s also on the smaller side and very rural/cabin‑like, which we liked, but some people expecting a more “hotel‑like” setup might be surprised. None of this was the host’s fault, just more of a heads‑up for future guests.Overall, I’d rate this stay around 5 stars and would stay here again for another ski trip. If you’re looking for a clean, private, true cabin experience close to Seven Springs with an awesome hot tub, this place is a great choice.

Thank you for such for taking the time for a thoughful and complete review of the cabin. It is very spot on. We do our best to paint a true picture of a small cozy cabin in the mountains. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hosting you again in the future! Summer is a great time to truly enjoy all the outdoor spaces and the surrounding areas.
We loved our stay! I would certainly make a few updates, particularly the shower (and water), but overall it was just what two exhausted set of parents needed. Obviously the hot tub was a big winner. I'd really like to see a baby gate added to the top of the steps for future visits because we'd love to come back.
House was clean and had everything we needed. There was an issue with the hot tub when we arrived and the host quickly solved the issue and it was exactly as expected.
We had booked the cottage to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the place was exactly how we imagined it would be. My daughter and the whole family had a blast over the three days stay we had. Also got an opportunity to sit besides the firepit for hours and relax after a long time. Would like to visit again sometime.

We had a really amazing time here, it was very clean when we got there everything was just as described, check in was simple , property is beautiful and it was just a short distance from Seven Springs. We got a snow storm and they even came and plowed the driveway out to the main road. 10+ rating

Thank you so much for the review. We work hard for our guests to have a great stay at the cabin.
We had a lovely weekend. Cabin well stocked with everything we needed and having firewood available at the end of our driveway was super convenient. Only thing that could be improved is the steps onto the front porch. As you're walking up the steps the first step is quite a distance from the next one and so for those of us with gimpy hips/knees it was a challenge. Otherwise a perfect property. Hostess Sara very nice and helpful porch
The property was represented perfectly the house was clean although some items on floor and under beds no instruction on how to use heating cooling system . No batteries in the TV remote upstairs. Beds were very uncomfortable but did not ruin our good time. Loved the hot tub and the fire pit . Could use a few upgrades but for the cost it was perfect for us

Perfect getaway cabin close to a lot of sites and attractions
We stayed for 2 nights in July as we were visiting the 93 Memorial, 7Springs, and Fallingwater. It's located very centrally. The cabin is well appointed and there wasn't a thing we could have wished for. We didn't use the hot tub but it was nice and warm and looked very clean. We did use the peaceful firepit (and there's the perfect place to get wood right at the top of the driveway to the cabin). We were too busy to cook at the cabin, but did notice the fridge and microwave might have been missed on the last cleaning. It was minor and the bathrooms, linens, beds, etc. were all very clean. I'm sure it was just missed. All in all we would stay again and the family loved the trip.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There was plenty to do around the area if you like the outdoors. Went for some nice hikes and drives. There was a wine festival at Ohiopyle, which was a great surprise! The hot tub was lovely and we used the firepit for 2 nights. Unfortunately, we had to find a place to buy firewood at the side of the road and haul it ourselves. I should have worn gloves because my hands got 2 painful slivers. I also thought it strange that we had to put our sheets on our bed. I have never had to do that before.

Hi Sherri, I’m sorry that you were not 100% satisfied with your stay. We do offer wood delivery to the cabin and would have been happy to make those arrangements for you if you would have let us know. There was a post card on the bulletin board with our local service as well.
The cabin was very cozy and kid friendly. However there were some issues. No heat in the downstairs bathroom, then waterline froze. Had no cold water in bathroom and kitchen. It took hours to get a response from property manager. When she did responsed hours later it was to late for anything to be down. Very disappointed with property personal.

We are sorry that you were not 100% satisfied with your stay as that is not the experience we want for our guests. We have addressed the maintenance issue you experienced during your stay and apologize for the inconvenience.
We had a great weekend at the cabin. The cleanliness left something to be desired. I don’t know if this was a fluke or not but it didn’t ruin the weekend. My family really enjoyed the hot tub! The beds could be a little more comfortable, but not bad for a weekend getaway. Overall, we had a great time!

We love enjoying the mountains with our family. If you want help planning your trip, I would love to help plan your perfect mountain getaway from ski resort pro-tips, the best fishing spots, to hiking, wineries, and restaurants. There is so much to do in the Laurel Highlands. We strive to provide an excellent guest experience as we would want for our family. We currently host at 4 vacation rentals in the mountains and we hope you enjoy your stay.
Why they chose this property
Rocky Pond Cabin was a full-blown project for our family. What started as a hunting camp was completely transformed into a mountain retreat for families or small groups to enjoy. The small pond provides a tranquil water feature not found at most vacation rentals. The location is great for those wanting to visit resorts or many of the state parks.
What makes this property unique
The small pond and the great location to all that the laurel highlands has to offer all year round
