We enjoyed this stay so much. It was clean, charming and the property was stunning. Hosts were amazing, and the property pup was the sweetest little surprise. We enjoyed every moment here!
We loved our stay at Heartwood! The hosts were responsive, the property beautiful, and everything in good working order. As other folks have mentioned, Silas the dog was a highlight! Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.
We stayed here before we dropped our son off at Virginia tech. Great place to stay! Clean, beautiful lodging with bonus hiking trails, fishing, zip lines and Silus the dog!
Beautiful property and cabin. The hosts were incredibly responsive and friendly. Silas was an added plus. Hopefully we will have another chance to stay here in the future.
Besutiful - reminds us of Ireland! Hope to visit again with our grandkids and stay longer. Lovely cabin and area to explore. The mountain spring water was rejuvenating and the owner's Aussie-doodle, Silas, stole our hearts! We highly recommend Heartwood for anyone who wants to experience one of the most beautiful pieces of God's creation!
Excellent location! Lots to do on the property and nearby. The hot tub was great. The beds were extremely comfortable! The owners were amazing and very helpful. We looked at some other rentals but are very happy with our choice and want to stay here again. Silas, the dog, was also a nice addition!
Really nice, relaxing stay. Our kids loved the zip line and we enjoyed the trails. It was super clean and welcoming. We had a great time! On a side note, the bed and pillows are insanely comfortable! Thank you
Family of 5. We loved the property, the hikes, the beautiful mountains. The people in town are so friendly. The kids loved the dog and zip line. Very peaceful!
Seriously the best rental I’ve ever stayed in! Our hosts were amazing and super friendly.
There was so much to do just in the property alone, and surrounded by peaceful woods.
Silos (the dog) was an extra bonus and was sooo friendly!
This was a last minute trip and I honestly didn’t have a whole lot of time to look at the listing before I booked it. I saw it had a hot tub and zip line and enough space for my family and that sold me.Check in was explained clearly. I did take a screen shot of the check in email, so I would have the information with us (we did not have cell service, so I was glad I did). The unit is on the second floor of the owners’ woodshed I believe. As you go up the stairs, there is a nice sized deck with rocking chairs and dining table and chairs for outdoor dining. The space was a bit smaller on the inside than the pictures made it look, but still plenty of room for us.One thing that would have been nice would be a pocket door or other way to have privacy between the bunk bed room and queen bed room. There is a door between the living/kitchen area and bedroom area, but no door between the bedrooms.Overall, we had a great time! The owners were nice and responsive to any need we had. The hot tub, zip line, playground, walking trails, and fishing pond were all available to use and we did enjoy all of the amenities.
Great place to stay for VA Tech parents weekend. In addition to Blacksburg, we enjoyed visiting the hipster downtown area of Floyd and checking out the eclectic shops.Jeanene was a great host. Would like to stay again.
The cabin was deluxe and fully functional. The hosts were inobtrusive but very responsive with any requests (we asked for more dish detergent). The hot tub is deluxe. The pond is a little underwhelming. The trail is accessible and not too challenging. This cabin is the perfect home base for any activity you have planned in the area of Floyd, VA.
It was beautiful! Outside was silent. My teenagers enjoyed getting lost on the trails. The zip line was fun for them too, its a nice one. The host was a life saver! She was quick to provide a frying pan when rain interrupted our grilling. There are many other hospitality like coffee, creamer, breakfast oats, seasonings, soaps, towels, etc. I would stay again!
The cabin had everything we needed…beautifully decorated and attention paid to details. The grounds were spectacular, great hikes, fun activities and the owners were warm and gracious. Thanks for providing a wonderful space to visit with our daughter, we enjoyed it immensely!
