About the host
Hosted by Lila Garnett

I retired to the Hudson Valley after a 20 year career in publishing. For the past couple of years, I have devoted most of my time to restoring this mid-century property; and to working on my own visual art projects. My family is scattered around this area; and I have a grown daughter living on the West Coast.
Why they chose this property
I am happy to host guests seeking a quiet retreat, or a home base for exploring the environs. I have been here for a few years now, and feel it has a special character. Situated back from a quiet country road, yet centrally located between Germantown and Hudson. There is abundant wildlife for nature lovers. The cottage is fully renovated, with custom woodwork and attention to aesthetics.
What makes this property unique
The place is quiet and the natural setting a lovely blend of woods and lawn. The environs provide classic Hudson Valley pastoral scenes, yet you’re close to Hudson with its broad range of culture and shopping.
