A Sanctuary of beauty and peace overlooking the Jungle and Sea
The unit is located in the Cascada Azul community, which is a very safe and quiet community. It is one of 10 units nestled on a Jungle bluff overlooking the majestic Baru River Valley. With the exception of the occasional visit from Toucans, Macaws, Agoutis, Coatis, and Monkeys that patrol the area, you will have complete privacy. The condo has one private bedroom with a Double bed, nightstands, and a custom wardrobe to hang and store all of your belongings. The bathroom has a large shower, a spacious countertop and sink, drawers for storage of towels and toiletries, and YES, we have on demand hot water! The living room and kitchen are one open space with a sliding door that opens to your private back patio, that incredible view and ever changing ocean sunsets. There is a custom futon/sofa bed that folds out to sleep 1-2 people. The furniture is handmade by local woodworkers with native wood. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes, silverware, utensils, etc. It also has a full refrigerator, freezer, stove, blender and microwave. There is a small dining area inside as well as patio furniture should you want to eat outside. The television has cable, and you are welcome to use your own streaming devices as well. If you would like to utilize the grill, it is shared and located near the pool. We also offer free access to the washer and dryer and just ask that you be mindful and considerate of other guests.
Guests have one designated parking space. Please only use your parking space. You will have access to your condo, as well as the gazebo and pool area, the BBQ area, the laundry area, your back patio, and the grassy area beyond your patio. Please feel free to take walks around the community, it is breathtaking with nearly no traffic. We ask that you use the community road and do not trespass onto neighbors driveways or living areas unless invited (you are likely to make some friends).
We strive to keep our space in alignment with the Costa Rican motto of 'Pura Vida", which is loosely translated to "the simple life'. One of the things that drew us to Costa Rica is the value that Costa Rican's place on experiences over materials. We keep our space simple and clean and encourage you to get out to experience Costa Rica and have a quiet, relaxing, and safe space to return to. You can do everything from here, or nothing at all.....its up to you.

This property is so well designed - each of the 10 units are private/ with amazing views and the a grass backyard. The pool is large and super clean with big jets of water. Big bbq and eating are great- Jo held acommunity pot luck one night.GreaJoimmediately responded
This property was perfect. The peace and quite, the beauty, the staff fast responses.... ABSOLUTELY what I needed. You can't go wrong unless you don't have a 4x4 or all wheel drive... LOL
Well equipped and maintained apartments. Very nice pool area and garden. Beautiful views. Very fast response from property manager. Getting to the facility can be a bit of a struggle if you don't have an SUV (for ground clearance) or you don't like driving semi-off road. Otherwise the area is very beautiful. The sunsets are amazing. We are very happy to have chosen Cascada Azul.
If you want to unplug from the world without the crowds with an incredible view of the sunset then this is a great pace to go. The dryer went out one morning and when I let the property owner know about it there was a new one that afternoon. The pool Is your own little paradise away from home and great place to hang out and if you want to and cook your dinner. Beaches are close by as well as waterfalls and if you want to, skydiving out the town of Quepos. I loved it. Pura Vida’n
Myself and two friends stayed for a week during the first week of March. The property was clean and quiet the pool was so pristine and gorgeous and clean. We saw plenty of wildlife on the property.
One thing that I feel needs to be made a little bit more clear is that a four-wheel-drive vehicle is absolutely necessary in order to make it to the villas. It’s noted in the property listing, but it said recommended and so we ended up bringing our Uber driver from the airport in San Jose up the treacherous hill to get there and he got terribly terribly stuck and completely stripped his tires on his vehicle.
Another thing is the listing says it has a full kitchen, but there were two forks, and no can opener, and the knives were terribly dull.
All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. I would recommend this.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Mooi verblijf, rustig gezellig alles aanwezig.

Why they chose this property
This property has the best of all worlds. It's just 10 minutes from the beach and Dominical, so you can swim, shop, eat, and then drive home to a peaceful, quiet, and safe space. We discovered that it is fun to stay near the beach for a few days, but it is often too loud and busy when we are ready to settle in for the evenings. If you are looking for a quiet and safe spot with jaw-dropping views, this is definitely for you!
