Once you pass through the private gates you're on a paved road climbing up to your jungle wonderland. Keep an eye out for Toucans, Sloths and families of Monkeys who also call this place home.

We nestled the pool right into the mountain slope and angled it for the most gorgeous ocean view. We just finished a Huge Floating Sun Deck where you can tan above the tree tops.

The property has four levels, all connected by a grand staircase and elevated walkways. Each level has it’s own unique water view. The two story villa has a studio living room on the top, bright and airy with lots of windows. Perfect for congregating and entertaining. The covered front porch is perched beautifully above the jungle. Down below are two spacious bedrooms and bathroom, all kept private in foliage. The overall vibe is warm and intimate with all the comforts of home. A perfect place to find your Pura Vida.

Beautiful views & Upgraded home

Our family (kids ages 8, 6 and 4) had a great time in Dominical. The villa was spacious and clean with well-appointed kitchen and upgraded details. I didn’t realize the entrance to the bedrooms on the lower floor required you to go outside and had separate entrance. Just made it more difficult with adjusting kids as they never wanted to be on a floor alone and we didn’t want them to slip on outdoor stairs if they went by themselves. But I believe a lot of Costa Rican homes are like this, to help with the AC units, etc. The washer & dryer are amazing and wonderful to have in the outdoor closet. I highly recommend using the dryer for towels Vs air drying bc of the humidity, everything just got gross smelling fast if we attempted to dry that way. The pool and sun deck are gorgeous and lovely to watch Toucans, Macaws and other birds. The driveway is mostly fine, it’s just a bit difficult getting out as you have to go backwards quite a ways if there are other cars at next house, which there always were during our week. WiFi worked amazing and we appreciated Netflix after not having TV for awhile for after dark. Evan was a responsive & great host. We highly recommend Bar Restaurant Los Laureles in Uvita, beautiful property, family-owned and run and delicious options. We enjoyed our surfing and then our snorkel trip with Costa Rica Dive & Surf. We always felt completely safe at the home, didn’t have any annoying sounds overnight, and the AC units worked great!

Jungle paradise found

We had a great stay and Evan was so helpful with our arrival, info about the area, and our early departure do to the COVID-19 pandemic. We loved to get away from the heat at the pool in the afternoons and loved using the outdoor bbq to cook our locally caught fish dinner! It was a great base for all our adventures too. We did the Diamonte Verde Waterfall tour with Pacific Journeys and the Corcovado hiking adventure with Bahia and loved both, but we were really appreciative of the comfy beds in the lovely AC lower level at the end of a hot day.

Great little cozy spot

Easy drive, no 4x4 needed. Super nice and helpful owner. House was a little smaller than expected but was cozy for 1 couple or 1 family. It is a little weird walking outside to get to the bedroom from living room, but master is dark and AC filled and GREAT for sleeping. We got used to the little walk. Pool has updated extended porch that is AWESOME and great lighting at night. Great view. You can hear the road from the property a little bit but that’s common in the area. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and found it close to the places and things we wanted.

The pool deck has epic sunsets and work as a perfect yoga platform. With a nice breeze we never used the upstairs ac, grilling on the deck at sunset was beautiful

A true tropical paradise

From the moment the gates opened to the secure property, we were in awe on the drive up and thru the tropical plants and animals. The place itself was truly breathtaking with its views and set up- perfect for a family of 5 with older children. A family of Toucans and Lizards love the tree by the pool and are an added delight to watch with the sunsets and views of the ocean. Evan, the owner couldn't have been more accommodating, welcoming and helpful. A beautiful property and experience.

Beautiful view, very private, lovely private pool, well kept and comfortable living space

Exceedingly attentive management, always available for any request. Property is secure, beautifully landscaped, only minutes from sweet little town of Dominical. Easy driving distance from beaches, waterfalls, mountain hikes, National parks, restaurants and conveniences. Can’t say enough about the availability of the owner 24/7 who went above and beyond taking a personal interest in our comfort, and made many suggestions about local attractions and activities. What a gem of a property! We were visited by toucans, a sloth and an occasional monkey. The hummingbirds loved the garden by the pool. The name Villa de Olas is perfect as one can both hear and see the surf down at the foot of the mountain on which this lovely house perches. The sunset and night sky were easily enjoyed from house and pool.

We just got home from a great stay at this property. It was probably the best pool at any house we've rented. The views were spectacular and surrounding nature impressive. Lots of Toucans in the area. Evan was a very responsive host and genuinely cared about our satisfaction. We would definitely stay again.

Sunsets and Serenity

My family of 4 had a wonderful time at Villa Las Olas. The pool provided great opportunities for us to unwind and take in the sunset after days at the beach. The master bedroom had a spacious king bed and the adjoining guest bedroom had two twin beds perfect for our kids. The house had great WiFi coverage and the Netflix access was a great plus. We also appreciated that the Villa was in close proximity to Dominical. We were able to go to town to take advantage of the restaurants/surf rentals/groceries but could also avoid the Holiday crowds and nightlife when we were ready to unwind. We also enjoyed the wildlife as we had the opportunity to spy a pair of Toucans from the pool one afternoon. Lastly, the local concierge and maintenance staff do a great job to ensure you have a great stay. They were there to help answer questions and were very helpful. We highly recommend a stay at Villa Las Olas.
