We had an excellent time, the property was great, the house was great, communication, and flexibility was top notch. Just an all around great experience with great hosts, would highly recommend! Thank you!
Beautiful home with all the necessities and more. Great outdoor area with dock and sitting areas and kayak, paddle boardand lilypad for our family to use. Kind and responsive owners. 100% recommend.
This place was perfect for our girls weekend and we would definitely come back. It had all the amenities like a nice sandy beach, kayaks, Lilly pad, paddle board and bags game. Combination for a great weekend!
This cabin by the lake was perfect for our winter getaway. There are several beautiful natural areas and trails nearby. The kitchen is nicely equipped, so we could fix dinner and relax by the fire in the evening.
This cabin was the perfect spot for our getaway. There were all the conveniences you needed including adequate kitchens supplies, paper products and toiletries. The extra amenities of fire pit, multiple docks and lake entry locations and water toys gave us plenty to do. The owners were very responsive when we had questions through the booking process and during our stay.
This cabin is so much more than the photos display on-line. The rustic aura is captivating! Wildlife was fascinating to watch. Love those singing loons! We thoroughly enjoyed our time together here - it has so much to offer!
I have been searching on-line for a lake house in this area and so booked a stay here for myself and my daughter's family so that we could take some time and tour properties. We arrived in 2 cars with a boat, their 2 dogs, the 12- and 16-year daughters and enough food to keep us satisfied should we need to be cabin bound. Our stay was wonderful! Plenty of room in the cabin with everything we could possibly need along with a great lakeshore and yard for the dogs and the perfect set-up for docking the boat. The lake is great for tubing, and we even docked at a restaurant for dinner one night. Well, after our time here, I am having trouble settling for anything else that I am finding on the market to purchase. This place and the hosts spoiled us.
Our family had an amazing stay at this beautiful log cabin on the lake! Jane and Rick were wonderful and had great communication from booking through the end of our stay. The cabin is gorgeous and very well appointed ~ the pictures do not do it justice! We utilized the fire pit, the kayaks, the grill and the nice level lot for yard games. The loft is spacious and has its own bathroom - it was perfect for our young adults to sleep and hang out. Thank you Jane and Rick for sharing it with us! We will be back!

From the moment we walked into the cabin, we were all blown away by the perfect interior, the log cabin of my dreams! Old world cabin - massive logs, vaulted ceiling special natural and rustic details, combined with all the modern conveniences, and floor to ceiling view of the lake. It’s rare to find a bathroom in a loft area, which came in handy for a family group.
We loved the open floor plan in the cabin, the quiet setting on the lake, the sandy beach, the shallow depth by the beach where my 4 year old granddaughter spent hours contently engaged in safe (supervised) water play. We saw loons and loon babies, and heard their call echoing. The 4 year old’s review says it all … “ Can we come back here every day on the weekends?”
Host was quick to respond to all inquiries! The log cabin was beautiful and had plenty of room for our family of four. Great bathrooms and kitchen space as well. We enjoyed time at the fire pit and reading books by the lake. The view from the cabin was nice, with a mostly clear shot of the water, but the lake itself was pretty gross. The water off the dock was green and there were weeds everywhere throughout the lake. There was a weed harvester working the lake, unsure if that was causing more problems but nowhere we went on the lake had clear water. Disappointed in that part of the stay only.

Alison, it was a pleasure to meet your family; thank you for your kind review of your host and the cabin. I am so sorry to read about your lake experience. You are absolutely correct regarding the weed harvester leaving behind weeds that washed ashore. The timing of this was unfortunate. We swim off the dock weekly as we have a 21' weed roller that keeps weeds from growing around the dock. However, in our 20 years here, we have never experienced the green water you experienced and I can’t explain it but want to sincerely apologize for any disappointment your family experienced. We strive to give families a great up north, cabin experience. Thanks, Jane & Rick
Our group was 4 adults and 2 elementary aged children. The small beach area was great for kids and the lawn is flat to the water. Watching kids from the deck/lawn/dock was easy and enjoyable. The sleeping spaces were as described and perfect for our group. Communication w the hosts was seamless. We would stay again!
We had an amazing stay - the home is beautiful. Our kids loved the beach area and the space to play and run around. We had lots of bonfires with the outdoor stereo system playing (at a respectful volume of course). It was lovely waking up to the water every morning and we enjoyed fishing. The hosts were very helpful as well and wanted us to have the best stay!
The location of the property is wonderful! It is very private even though there is a cabin on both sides of the property. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the back porch. There is grass that leads to the beach and docks. There is a boat landing close to the property. The furniture and beds are comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked. Jane and Rick are very friendly.
Spent New Years at this log cabin. Close to all the happening spots. Easy access for snowmobiling and ice fishing. Management was wonderful to deal with, would definitely recommend this cabin.
This cabin was as-shown in the pictures but even better in person! Beautiful, cozy, warm and so welcoming. We were mighty impressed at all the decorative details — they added such delight, so fun! We had absolutely everything we needed — and the master bed was beyond comfortable! Just spectacular in every way. Most definitely would book again, and we highly recommend!! An EASY 5-star rating.
We enjoyed this lovely and cozy cabin very much! We also got lucky and saw the Northern Lights. It was a wonderful experience and we can’t recommend this cabin enough.
This cabin was amazing! Nestled on the end of a point with views of the lake on 3 sides from the property, it truly was an awesome place to be for a nice quiet week.
On arrival there was firewood outside for both the fireplace and the fire pit, the house was beautiful and airy inside, with just the right amount of cabin kitsch. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was totally adequate and the live edge wood countertop was really nice. The entire stay it was very quiet (during the week and after labor day ensured that) and the beauty of the nature all around was incredible. The kayaks provided were awesome for paddling around the lake and checking out wildlife and the fall colors.
All in all a great stay, I would definitely stay there again.
