This was our second time staying at the poolhouse. The hosts were very nice and communicative and the houae was clean and inviting. I would definitely recommed thia place and come back for another stay.

We were very impressed! The house if very clean beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything that you need. We spent the entire weekend in or by the pool, beautiful area to swim, sun, relax or read. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners who couldn't been nicer always asked us if we needed anything. We will definately stay here again.

Awesome area

The property and hosts were excellent. It was very clean and modern. It’s very much in the country and very quiet. Both Bloomfield and Bardstown are beautiful little towns and it’s not very far from Louisville if you need some city time. The area is phenomenal if you like bourbon and we highly recommend the Makers Mark tour.

Hidden Gem

It is with a heavy heart that we are leaving this pool house. My husband and I had a fantastic week. Valerie and Jim were welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. The pool was warm and inviting each afternoon. We visited Churchill Downs one day and a couple distilleries the other days. We were back in the pool for each afternoon. It was a relaxing week. The scenery was gorgeous. We felt like we were far away from civilization yet we were only a couple miles from restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacy chains.We will definitely return again!

Like Being in a Painting

This pool house property is absolutely fabulous and Valerie, Jim & Dixie are amazing hosts! Everything was super clean and cozy and the house has everything you could possibly need to be comfortable. The pool is huge, heated & super clean. And we cannot say enough amazing things about the views on the massive & very private property. Thank you so much for hosting us & making us feel like we were at home! The extra touch of the handwritten welcome note and birthday sign for my husband really made us feel special. We already cannot wait to visit again!!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS

My husband and I stayed 4 days for our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The hosts are just sweethearts and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We swam in the pool every day and my husband caught over 15 fish at the pond, mostly bass, so he was very pleased. We will be returning and I already miss it there!! Thank you Jim and. Valerie!! You guys are the best!

July 24-26, 2023 It's a beautiful and peaceful place, just like the pictures. They thought of everything. You only need to bring your clothes, food & your personal items like toothbrush etc. It's so clean and restful. A few short miles to town. The owners are super nice and will help you with anything. Best vacation experience ever

Beautiful premises, extremely relaxing and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, and house everything you need is on hand. Extremely clean and functional if for short or long stay. We were sad we hadn’t booked longer to enjoy hanging out at the pool. Breath taking view of the surrounding acreage as the property is set back from main road. The owners of the rental are extremely accommodating and will make sure your stay is as comfortable as needed. We look forward to going back again to celebrate our anniversary every year. And cannot speak highly enough to our friends and family to come out and stay here.

Just Perfect!

My husband and I stayed at Angel's Rest during our recent trip to Bardstown and were just delighted! The property is located on a gorgeous 20 acre farm that was private, quiet and so serene. The cottage was VERY clean and decorated beautifully. My husband and I both appreciated the very comfortable, like new, reclining couches and very comfy bed. Nice linen too! We travel a lot and have stayed in many VRBO rentals, and I can honestly say - this is a GEM! In the county for highly desired serenity, but everything we could need was available to us within 5 miles. From the hostess, Valerie and her side kick Dixie the blue-eyed Boxer, to the large private pool, and even the private fishing lack [where we met a magnificent turle].... We loved it all and booked our next visit here before we left! Well done, Valerie! See you again soon.

Beautiful property-however listing wasn’t accurate

The property was beautiful! The only issue we have with the listing is that it did not state how close the owners primary residence is to the rental property. It’s probably 50 ft from their front door to the inground pool at the rental. Their front door and windows face the pool. I expected the privacy that the listing claimed. The pool was also not heated as described so we were not able to use it much. I wouldn’t refer a friend due to the fact that the owners are practically staying with you
