A 10-star cabin experience! Beautiful, pet friendly cabin on the water with a great host. A well stocked kitchen with quality cookware. Nice furniture throughout. All the amenities - just being food.

Thank you, Kevin, for this wonderful review. I am grateful that you and your family had such a great time.
Heaven on earth. Our dream home!Checking in was seamless. The house was beautiful and exceeded our expectations . Had a fully functional kitchen with gas burners. We left most of the windows open to hear the creek just outside the house. We relaxed in the evenings grilling, playing on the pool table downstairs in the game room then stepped outside and enjoyed the fire around the fire pit sitting next to the flowing creek just steps down. Our two small pups loved the creek hikes!!Also enjoyed our hike to Long Creek Falls - worth the drive and hike! Thanks to our host Steven for making our stay the absolute best - memories we’ll have forever

Thank you, Diane, for this great review and for taking care of the cabin. I am so pleased to read that y’all had a great time. Can’t wait to host you again!!
Overall great cabin. Plenty of sleeping accommodations. There were options for entertainment with a pool table, video games, board games, corn hole, hot tub. Outdoor fire pit was great for the colder weather. Kitchen was good and was fully stocked with the essentials. Cooking pans should be replaced as a number of them had the nonstick coating that was very pitted and scratched off.Plenty of seating areas to watch TV or movies. Couches are need of a replacement as the cushions were pretty worn and some torn in a few places. Owner was great with communications and easily to get in touch with for any questions or concerns.Definitely recommend the private cabin.

The view is awesome from the huge windows in the great room! The creek is so relaxing and beautiful.I was told the house would be decorated for Christmas as this was a Christmas trip for my family and they didn't have anything decorated, not even a Christmas tree. The master bedroom is wonderful and cozy. The fireplace and view is so relaxing. My brother fell down the stairs outside because the grips stop about 8-10 steps from the bottom and it was raining.Parking is tight if you have 3 vehicles. The game room is lots of fun. The loft area was great for the littles.Pots and pans could use some upgrading, but we did find one to use that was in decent condition. They provide some spices and seasonings which is nice. The couches could use some TLC and the gutters need to be cleaned out. I loved that they provided dog bowls for food & water. They also provide baby gates for the stairs and a high chair for littles. That was nice.Overall we had a great trip! Thank you for sharing your cabin with my family.

Kadi,
Thank you for your review. I am sincerely sorry that the cabin was not decorated. I have been real sick. That, on top of work travel, prevented me from getting down there. I've noted your feedback and appreciate it. Also, I am sorry that I could not accommodate your request to stay later. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
Privacy was excellent which is what we were looking for. Seating and bed were comfortable. TVs and cooking supplies were adequate. Driveway was no joke, so be careful, and would not recommend bringing a full size truck or SUV. Host was very responsive. Couple small issues handled quickly with no problem.

Terry, it was a pleasure to host you and your family. My cleaner said the cabin was in great shape, you were responsive, and a great person to work with. Thanks so much and I hope to see y’all again.
This property was one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The creek was an awesome backyard view, and the sound of flowing water was great when relaxing after a long day. The host, Steven was prompt and very communicative. Check-in / check-out was made easy with the digital lock, and there were plenty of amenities that kept my family and toddler busy. We had so much fun!

Devin, thank you for this amazing review. I am so pleased to read that you and your family enjoyed the cabin and had such a great time. I look forward to hosting y’all again!
As mentioned by others, communication with host was excellent! Cabin was spacious and comfortable. The views of the forest and creek from the ginormous living room window are beautiful! The game room has many card games and puzzles, as well as the arcade games shown in the listing photos. The backyard area could use a little extra attention to really make that space feel more inviting and the outdoor furniture could be cleaner, but we understand it's in the middle of the forest so not sure how realistic that is. We had a good time regardless! The water in the creek was clear and shallow so the kids were able to explore and search for salamanders and crawfish every day. The sound of the running water in the creek was the best part for me. I loved sitting by the water just enjoying the sound. Worth noting- there are stairs everywhere! You WILL leave this cabin with your calves being in PEAK condition! Also worth noting-the driveway is a little tricky if you're in a bigger car, and it is a STEEP incline getting in and out of the driveway.

Rosa, so pleased to hear that y’all loved the cabin and all of its amenities. It truly is a beautiful spot in the forest…in the mountains. Next time you want to work on the calves, you know where to stay!! ;)
This property is beautiful. Great spaces for a group to gather with a large kitchen and living room as well as the game and movie room downstairs. Plenty of beds with clean sheets. Two queen beds, a king, in addition to the bunk beds, trundle, and full bed in the loft. There was everything we ne needed to cook, plenty of pots and utensils, a gas grill and extra propane, and small appliances like a blender and hand mixer. The driveway was very steep but not unsafe. We didn't have any trouble getting to the parking area or back out. Everything was very clean, no dust or cobwebs, just a dirty pot a previous guest hid in the back of a cabinet. Totally a guest issue, not host neglect. There were some nice touches from the host like chocolates and coffee when we checked in. ked in.

Surprise
The house itself was clean, well stocked and had room for all of us.
The access to the house was quite a shock and would be inaccessible to any older person or someone with bad knees

For potential guests reading Debbie’s review; I do state very clearly that the property is not accessible for people with physical disabilities. Additionally there are plenty of pictures that show the stairs in the cabin and the steps leading down to the cabin. So, I’m a little surprised, Debbie, that you still rented the cabin, though I am pleased you found it will stocked and clean!! 😁
The whole family loved all the aspects of this creek side cabjn retreat. So much space for all the family and room to spare. Loved all the fun activities offered such as the pool table, games, fire pit and hot tub. The paved driveway was a plus. Distanced so you feel remote but still close to Ellijay with great restaurants, shopping, hiking and entertainment. Very helpful and communicative owner.

My wife and I (and the pup) just returned from a week's stay at the cabin. The owner was very responsive during the entire booking process and stay. The house is clean and very quiet. We loved the game room. The town of Ellijay is only a 20 minute drive away. And there are many hiking trails if you're willing to drive a little further. Oh, we visited all of the local wineries as well. I'd highly recommend this property for a getaway.

This property is better than advertised!! So many things to do, while being tucked away among the trees with a beautiful creek in the back yard. A great place to escape the rat race yet close enough to great shopping and restaurants!! The whole family loved the game room, hot tub, fire pit and everything else to do on the property... so much to enjoy!! The owner was very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. Lack of Resources
Mother Nature struck during our stay. A nasty thunderstorm rolled through and knocked out the power which turned off the water.
We searched the house for candles, flashlights, batteries etc. and none to be found.
We were not offered a solution from the owner for the lack of electricity and water. Needless to say we had to cut our trip short.
We asked for a refund for The final night which we were not able to stay at the house. And were told that the owner is not responsible for inclement weather and would take our request for a refund into consideration. since then we have had no further communication.
We also chose the property due to the outdoor amenities. We were looking forward to spending time outside and by the water. We had to physically clean the deck and furniture to be able to utilize the outdoor space because it was so dirty.
We are long time VRBO users and this was first time we’ve been disappointed.

Ruben,
Thank you for your honest review, though I must respond to provide some context. First, I indicate very clearly on VRBO that the owner is not responsible for power outages do to inclement weather. I obviously have no control over the weather and whether or not it will impact your stay. Once I learned the power was out, I communicated with you you regularly, giving you updates. What else would you have me do?
Second, I do not provide candles for obvious reasons...fire hazard. I do have a flashlight in the cabin. I am sorry, but you never indicated that you could not find it. It's in the kitchen drawer next to the fridge.
Finally, you booked a cabin in the woods...which sits under trees...during pollen season. Yes, there is going to be stuff on the decks and chairs. Again, all the times we talked and texted, which were many, you never mentioned this.
I am sorry your brief stay occurred during a powerful storm, this is obviously not what I want. You were very kind and respectful and in spite of your 3 stars, I still rated you 5 stars.
The creek is amazing, we enjoyed fire pit, hot tub, game room, and sitting in living room staring out the big window perfect location for our guys to hit mountain bike trails and we enjoyed strolling downtown Ellijay with the kiddos!
Would love to come back when it’s a bit warmer to really enjoy the creek!!

The cabin was everything we hoped for. Each day was started with the sound of the rushing creek before we took our dog walking along the trails nearby. We loved the pool table and likely spent more time there than anywhere else in the house. The fire pit and hot tub were also a huge draw for us in the evenings. The cabin is perfectly located between downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge which both have great dining and shopping.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The cabin was beautiful and very family friendly. We had a mix of adults, kids of various ages, and dogs, and everyone had a great time. The dogs loved splashing in the creek and the kids spent the much of their time outside exploring. Great location too -- nice and close to Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and hiking spots.

We had an incredible stay at this gorgeous cabin! It was comfortable, very clean, and well equipped. The creek and hot tub were big hits with our kids. About the host
Hosted by Steven Bonner
I love to serve others and hosting on VRBO is an avenue for me to do just that. I am married and have 3 grown children, love to travel, hike, and sip on my favorite cocktail creekside at our cabin in Ellijay. When not in Ellijay, I live in TN and teach at a university and serve as an Executive Coach.
Why they chose this property
We love the trees, seclusion, and the babbling creek. When we want to get away, this is where we go. It is far enough away to feel like we are actually getting away and decompressing, yet close enough to town to grab some great food with the family.
What makes this property unique
I think the most unique benefit of our cabin is the proximity to the creek. It is simply wonderfully relaxing. Of course, we have outfitted our game room with all the necessities to entertain family and friends if the weather keeps you inside. Guests will enjoy our pool table, multitude of games, theatre area, and classic arcade games.
