Not just a house, it’s a home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an AMAZING property! We have 2 kids, ages 6 & 8, and we all just had an amazing time! It’s so comfortable and peaceful to stay in and right in the heart of the island where (almost) everything is within walking distance! We’ve come to the island for many years now but we will be requesting this property again in the future- I highly recommend it!

Beautiful Week again in Chincoteague

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arriving, the house was not cleaned, Miscommunication on Harbour Rentals side. We cleaned it to our satisfaction Vaccuum cleaner at house is not good. First time this has happened in the 25 years + that we have been coming.

Good location, but needs upgrades

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Small, simple house in convenient central location. Two bedrooms downstairs, a Master with a queen bed and a room with 2 twins (not a full bed as advertised). Four twins in the attic for kids. At the end of the week I really missed my nice mattress. Bathroom next to Master needs refurbishment and it was too small for me to use comfortably. Other bathroom was larger and is acceptable, it has a stacked washer/dryer. Galley kitchen is ok, it does have a dishwasher. Original porch was enclosed to create the dining room and the larger bathroom. Screened-in back porch added with entrance to kitchen, and this now is the primary entrance to the cottage. It was a convenient place for wet beach stuff. If you aren't picky about your lodgings, and need space for kids, it will do. The price reflects the age of the place and basic interior design, but some investment in the house is needed (particularly the small bathroom).

Good location, a bit rundown

We enjoyed our weekend in Chincoteague. The house is spacious for how small it is. It has two bedrooms and a whole loft upstairs, so plenty of room for our small family. The location is close to Main Street and shops and restaurants. The house could be updated and cleaned a little bit better. It is a little run down and was kind of dirty when we arrived. It is on a busy corner too, so lots of cars going by made it a little worrisome with having my toddler outside, but fine with older children. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. When we arrived I attempted to contact the property owners or managers about getting in the house and parking questions and was unable to, which I found frustrating. The office was closed all weekend, which is seems they often are and they do not respond to emails or calls. Could be a problem if you needed something or had a problem. Maybe I missed something, but I could not contact anyone. Nice house and nothing wrong with it aside from being a bit run down, but maybe it’s the property management that is the issue.
