Originally from Michigan, I like to say I “escaped” to Florida and never looked back. My husband is a true Florida native — which means he has never had to scrape ice off a windshield and doesn’t fully appreciate that luxury!

With four young children of our own, we understand how important it is for a vacation home to be comfortable, functional, and family-friendly. When we renovated this beach bungalow, we did it with intention — creating a space that feels relaxed, welcoming, and easy to enjoy whether you're here for a week or an extended stay.

We take pride in maintaining a clean, well-equipped home and want every guest to feel like they’ve found their own little place in New Smyrna Beach.

We never imagined we would own a home this close to the beach. While visiting our amazing aunt in New Smyrna Beach, we happened to walk past this older bungalow that was clearly in need of some serious love. But we saw something special in it — the location, the quiet street, the short walk to the sand — and we knew it had incredible potential.

We decided to take the leap and completely renovate the home from the ground up. Every stud was replaced, along with new plumbing, electrical, windows, and finishes throughout. What started as a worn beach house became a thoughtfully rebuilt coastal retreat.

At first, we weren’t sure what we would do with it. With four kids and constantly overlapping schedules, we realized we wouldn’t be able to enjoy it as often as we hoped — so it simply felt right to share it with others. When we can’t be here ourselves, we love knowing that families, snowbirds, and beach lovers are creating their own memories in a place that means so much to us.

What truly sets this home apart is its location. You’re just minutes from direct beach access, and in this area of New Smyrna Beach, you have options. You can drive your vehicle onto the beach (with the city permit fee) for easy setup — no hauling chairs and coolers — or enjoy a simple 7-minute walk to the sand.

This section of the beach is especially desirable because vehicle traffic is restricted by protective pillars, meaning no cars travel south past this point. The result? A more relaxed, family-friendly stretch of shoreline while still keeping the convenience of drive-on access nearby.

Just two blocks away, you’ll find a large playground and public restrooms — perfect for families spending long beach days. Prefer a change of scenery? Head west and you’re within a 10-minute walk of the river, offering beautiful sunsets and a completely different coastal vibe. Being on this narrow peninsula gives you the best of both worlds — ocean to the east, river to the west.

With Publix just one mile away, a 7-11 only blocks from the home, and ample parking at the property, everything you need is close by. It’s hard to imagine a more convenient and versatile location in New Smyrna Beach.
