We enjoyed our stay at this property. The hosts provided a clean, comfortable home with complimentary breakfast foods that we appreciated. The fire pit was a nice addition and the location was convenient to area attractions. We would recommend this VRBO property to others.
The home was exactly as advertised. We appreciated the light being left on as we arrived after sunset The home was warm and inviting. The fresh flowes on the kitchen table were a beautiful touch. We greatly appreciated the fresh pastries, fruit, eggs, milk and oj for breakfast.
What a charming property. Hosts went above and beyond with many little extras that made you feel so welcome. From the horses in the barn to the birds and bunnies in the yard everything was the perfect setting for a country retreat!Everything about this place was perfect!
The moment we entered this house, we knew we were going to have a good time. All of the amenities in the house were amazing compared to other guest houses. It was obvious that the owners spent time making sure that guests felt welcome. Inclement weather prevented us from doing a couple of planned activities, but we enjoyed just being in the house. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Very clean & cozy property. The homeowners go out of the way to make you feel welcome. The home has all the amenities! The horses were a added bonus!

Thanks for a great review. We were happy to have Christine and her family stay at our home, and would gladly host them again. They kept everything in great condition.
We feel thankful and blessed to have come across this lovely country gem. James and Mary are exceptional hosts; they anticipate and tend to every possible need a traveler would ever have. This modernized farmhouse is absolutely immaculate, so welcoming, and super comfortable, with beautiful country views from all sides. My young granddaughters and I had a most wonderful time staying in this lovely home.
I stayed over Christmas with my mom and my sister and we could not have had a better experience. So many thoughtful touches, from a thoroughly stocked kitchen to the cute way the towels were rolled, spa-style. We were able to use the wood-burning fireplace (extra charge, but worth it!), which, along with the cute holiday decorations, made for perfect holiday ambience. Mary and James truly helped make a holiday special and memorable for my family.

Thank you for the great review, Ana! You and your family were a pleasure to host!
We spent one night at the farmette, on a Friday in June. The house was spectacular. Everything was spotless and the thoughtfulness of the hosts was obvious throughout the house. From the fresh baked goods, juice, milk and coffee to the comfy sheets and plentiful towels. Communication was quick and very helpful. The grounds were gorgeous, with the horses keeping 'watch' over us. We had exactly the sister time we were hoping for. We would like to make this a regular event!
What an excellent place for a family gathering. The living and dining areas are huge. We were so comfortable in the house. The kitchen is huge and has everything you could want to prepare a meal. There's a lovely firepit and chairs that's protected from the road by a hedgerow. The bedrooms accommodated us adults and a couple pack and plays for the babies. I would definitely come back to this one when we visit the area.
And Bedford is not to be missed. I really seen it in 20 years and the changes are delightful. Shops, cafes, restaurants and the historical buildings. Beautiful.
We met with friends we’ve had for over 40 years at this farmhouse. What an amazing time we had and we attribute most of it to this beautiful home.
First off, we’ve all agreed that we have never been at a cleaner and more equipped home for guests.
When we arrived, the home was already toasty warm with lit scented candles and fresh cut flowers on the huge kitchen table.
We began to unload some of our groceries into the refrigerator. Instead, we found fresh milk, orange juice, cold bottled water and butter. Syrup, pancake mix, cereal, bagels and yummy cinnamon rolls were made available to us during our stay. . James and Mary have made available anything you need. Pots, pans, utensils, paper goods including storage bags, paper plates and a cupboard full of spices were there to use.
The living room is amazing dotted with fresh, thriving houseplants and big comfy reclining sofa and chairs that you can get lost in. We arranged to use the large fireplace in this room. Kindling, matches and dry wood were provided to start a fire for the evening. What a treat!
Upstairs, we all chose our rooms. When we all crawled into bed that evening, it was like being at home. Crisp, clean, white sheets and country comforters lulled us all to sleep in record time.
If, for any reason, you find yourself in Bedford or surrounding areas and this home is open, don’t miss out on booking this little farmhouse! You will want to stay again and again!
Thank you James and Mary for a fun and unforgettable weekend. We hope to see you again sometime in the spring.
