We picked this house for its close location to a guided fishing tour we did on Rodman Reservoir. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. This was our 2nd stay at this property and we intend to come back!
Everything was very clean and well stocked. Peaceful location with kayaks available to explore the lake. Dock was in good condition to fish or watch the sunrise.
We were in town for a a fishing trip. The house was perfect for our crew to crash after a long day on a boat. House had everything we would ever need. We caught some decent bass in Pegram Lake in the evenings as well. House was 15 min drive from the Ocklawaha River where we were fishing. Perfect location.
It’s a peaceful neighborhood right on the lake. The house was clean and fully stocked of all we needed. The lake had some fish but seemed they didn’t want to bite the bait we had anyway (lol). The kayaks were a nice touch to enjoy the lake as well. I would stay again. Thank you.
We rented the place because we had a family member getting married at Pinehaven ranch. House fit the bill and more. The lake was a beautiful view and my grandchildren enjoyed splashing around.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was sparking clean, beautiful interior design (pleasure to be in). Excellent communication with the host. Fantastic views, excellent fishing for catfish right from the deck (wait for the dusk to start). A very remote and peaceful location. Overall, exceeded our expectation. Excellent Internet connection -- we were able to work from home (videoconferencing etc.) with no issues.

Sketchy Neighborhood and bathing issue
Once we got to the neighborhood we were shocked at the sketchy houses and thought we were scammed. When we arrived at 5pm a woman next door blaster 80's rock as loud as possible breaking the advertised "retreat" vibe. After it was suggested that we walk over and talk to her, we insisted the owner contact her. We were told she was "sweet" but she wasn't and yelled at her poor dog. She also made some terrifying noises once she turned down the music, probably mad at us. We also heard a dozen gun shots which terrified my daughter. The instructions to the house say to turn on the sink faucet to get hot water in the shower - we did, but the hot water was either scalding, and turned ice cold intermittently. We were required to get insurance to stay here, probably because of the lake - the nicest part was having some kayaks to use. Do your research & always request addresses prior to spending your money so you can check out the area with Google Street View. Wow.

Not sure who pissed in franks Cheerios prior to arriving at our house. He clearly had some issues.
This house had a 10/10 rating prior to his stay. Unfortunately the neighbor passed two weeks after his stay so she might have had some unknown health issues going on.
Our hot water is a tankless instant system. All low flow shower regulators were removed prior to his stay and there has been no issues by anyone getting hot water and regulating temperature. Our young kids shower and control the showers themselves without issue. The instructions he mentioned are old from before the regulators removed.
There is a large hunting preserve and national forest in the area. On quiet lake days some of the activity can be heard.
Yes damage insurance or deposit is required just as many other VRBO rentals. If no damage was done by guests then the deposit is refunded. This is normal.
Excellent communication with the host. The lake was one of the few with water still in it. The house was beautiful and relaxing. Close enough to stores for convenience but out enough for quiet. Would recommend
This property was perfect for our trip. The inside was clean and had plenty of space. The dock is nice for relaxing. We were in town for a fishing trip and this property was perfectly located. Overall great stay!
