Suissevale Beach Access Home is close to States Landing Beach

Enjoy your vacation at this Suissevale beach access home that is close to State's Landing beach. Sleeping 11, this home has 3 bedrooms and 1.75 baths. On the main floor is the open concept kitchen, living room and dining area. There is one bedroom with two pyramid bunks (twin over full) and a full bath across the hall. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a pyramid bunk (twin over full). At the top of the stairs is a 3/4 bath. Central air and ceiling fans in each bedroom will cool down the house on those hot summer days. At night, relax on the couch while watching a movie or sit outside on the porch after grilling dinner on the gas grill. Enjoy all that Suissevale has to offer like two sandy community beaches, playground and basketball court.

The Suissevale Association does not allow tenant use of the association beach on Saturdays. Instead, the property owner will provide a beach pass to the nearby State’s Landing Beach for guest use, where parking is available.

Promising Potential That Doesn't Deliver

Reviewer Comments: Grill totally rusted out could not cook on it,central AC switch never turned on so no A.C. for almost the whole week we stayed, 2 of the four patio chairs had no webbing, Front steps need fixing and covered the very well used couch and dirty couch with blankets so we could attempt to use it

Had to drive 5 minutes to the main beach. No pass for State's Landing was supplied by rental company which was strange since it was in the listing. Few necessary items not in house: pot holders, garbage bags for a compactor style trash bin. Should be mentioned in the listing. Also, 5pm on Saturday is way too late to start check-in. Need to move back to 3pm or sooner to give us time to settle in, grocery shop, etc.

Please fix faucet and hot water setting

Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this property and have it booked for a couple more weeks in August.At the end of our first stay, we commented that the kitchen faucet was very loose and needed to be fixed. Upon our return, it had not been fixed. This is a problem because it is difficult to completely turn off the water and regulate the temperature. The HOT water is WAY TOO HOT. It is extremely unsafe and can burn someone. I sincerely hope that this is remedied for your future guests and our family when we return in August. A side comment- it would be nice if the grass was mowed or trimmed- the yard is not very welcoming and we like to play outdoor games.On a positive note, the AC repairman did come to fix the central air (which was not fixed for the previous guests), so were were happy about that.We really like the house and the location- just wishing there would be more attention to detail and requests, especially the safety concern of the hot water.Sincerely,Jim and Karen Ares

Ideal house and location for large group

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was only a 5-minute walk to States Landing beach and 3-minute drive to Swissvale beach. The house was very spacious and had a perfect layout for a large group. We had our 3 young grandchildren (9,10,12) and their parents with us. The kids had the best time sharing the room with the double pyramid bunk beds. There were lots of games and puzzles for the evenings and the 1 rainy day. The porch was ideal for early morning coffee and a place to escape to read. I brought lots of ingredients to cook at least 4 meals, but was disappointed when I could never get the oven to any temperature but 400. I hope the rental agency can correct this problem. But kudos to them (At The Lake Vacation Rentals)because we found a note on the grill saying it was not working. The next day a new grill was delivered.The house was very clean, plenty of parking and close enough to Skellys Market for those items you simply ran out of or forgot. The nearest large supermarket is 30 minutes away.

Reviewer Comments: Grass was knee high, a neighbor actually came over and mowed and said they were embarrassed. at least a dozen light bulbs out in house and outside. AC was very spotty. Great location and house is modern and good size. Had not really been cleaned. Found underwear under a bed and candy wrappers and other bits of trash in the house. Great place if it could get some attention.
