Another super relaxing stay at slowpoke cabin. The gorgeous patio out back is the highlight, serene environment to enjoy our morning coffee or nightcap. Cabin is very nicely appointed with all the amenities of home. Comfy beds, spacious bathrooms, and full kitchen. Definitely plan to come back for next year’s folk fest.

Thanks for the awesome feedback! We're thrilled you, Courtney, and Arlo enjoyed your stay and the patio. Hope you had a blast at the Kerrville Folk Fest. Can’t wait to have you back!
My wife and i stayed 2 nights here while we attended the Kerrville Folk Festival. Worked out perfect as it is only 8 minutes away. House is very comfortable amd in a very quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed swimming, paddle boating and spending a lot of time on the back porch. Kitchen is well equipped and beds and pillows were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Slowpoke Cabin on Turtle Creek while working nearby at a family farm. This cabi had all amenities we could ask for and was a great place to rest after each day’s hard work. The backyard, sloping down to the creek, was lovely and gently serenaded by squirrels and birds. We hope to stay here again.
Property is quiet. Easy to relax. Enjoyed lovely mornings, lazy afternoons, & beautiful starry nights. There is a community church just down the road, nice spot to grab a Sunday message- quite welcoming. If you’re looking to have a peaceful stay, this is your spot. Town is not far if you need anything. We packed in groceries, so we just stayed at the property. A good find!
We loved this little place so much! The property is just as described, and the pictures don’t do it justice. We are a family of 4 with 2 under 3. The AC units kept us cool in the 100 degree weather, so don’t be too weary of the property not having central AC if you’re coming when it’s warm out. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to cook on your trip. The most amazing part of this rental is the back of the property. It’s well kept, well lit and the perfect place to relax and fish, grill, look at stars and make s’mores! 10/10 would recommend!
We loved this place for us and our active elementary age kids. Plenty to do with a kayak, pedal boat, camp fire, hammock, corn hole, badminton, and a great back patio. 2 bathrooms was a plus and 2 bedrooms. The kitchen was really well stocked with kitchen items plus a few food items that were surprises. We love the location of only 20 minutes to get to Kerrville and the River Trail. It is a quiet small river with only us on it the whole time. Plenty of games to play inside too. The host on the app was responsive when there was an issue with the door code to get in. Screenshot the info from the app before going since there's no phone service at the cabin. Only wifi works, but makesure you have the password from the app beforehand. We just had to drive out to the main street to get phone service when we had an issue. Emailing also worked to talk to the app service. Great place and so much to do and also a wonderful place to relax.
This trip was for my mothers 87th birthday & the deck was a wonderful selling point as well as the comfy cabin with a great kitchen. We had a wonderful time and loved spending most of our time outside! Great hosts! Thank you!
The cabin had everything we needed! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and the outdoor space was just beautiful. Plenty of deer in the mornings and evenings and lots of free range chickens! At a dead end so very quiet at night!
My son, myself, and our lab really enjoyed this place! I love sitting outside with my dog and we did that quite a bit. The view looking towards the creek during the day is beautiful and the blanket of stars at night is perfect! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The house is cute and very clean.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very well equipped with everything you could need. We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak and had tubes we brought as well. We got to see deer in the mornings. One thing that would have made it nicer would be stabilizing the deck better, and provide a ladder or other way to get out of the water. I'm not able to push myself up on my arms to get out on the dock.
