One Nighter in Route

Unique location in the middle of woods/jungle well off the paved road (easily done with 2WD) very basic accommodations as described and pictured. Good bed! Hosts provided good directions and related information. Cost effective.

Better than camping. After climbing the small set of stairs, which puts the units off the ground enough to keep away some of the bugs, our studio was one of 5 or 6 units that all had locking doors from the central open air common area. Unit has its own bathroom towels, sink w/hand soap, toilet and shower. Unit also has a propane cook top and insulated ice chest that can be kept cool with free ice packs from the common area freezer. Great value that allowed us to use our money on other adventures. We will definitely be checking availability here on our next adventure to the big island.

Great experience.

Checking in was lil confusing. I didn't know I was in the right room since there are multiple rooms alike. Info about hot water and wifi cut-off time was hard to find online. Nature comes alive at night so it's loud. A lil tip or forewarning would be helpful or some earplugs on hand. Other than that if you're looking for a true nature experience this is the place to do that. Highly recommend.

Don't waist your money staying here !

Had the most horrific time paper thin walls it advertised as separate and detached it is a hostile many people staying in one building with absolutely no luxury of privacy! Cockroaches were everywhere I had to hang things to keep it off the floor it was disgusting I asked for a refund because of the false advertisement and the conditions with our stay. Absolutely no communication back there is no Aloha here!

These guests are very unusual. They stayed here a week and blasts music during quiet hours and when we ask them use earphone .they abruptly pack their stuff and left .we found they left key on door and all their stuff gone so we go thoroughly cleaned their trash out. And at night we notice the room light on so we go check and they claim they just accidentally left key on door and moved all their belongings. It’s late at night so we decided to let it go so we won’t bother other guests.the next day they left again and ask refund claim if I don’t refund them they will leave a bad review. I contact vrbo show the picture of the damage they cause at our room and vrbo tell us we can just call local police to ban them from come here. I don’t know what they on but certainly they are not the guests you want in your home.
