I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to hear that. When I bought this house, the courtyard with no courtyard at all. I don’t get there very often but it’s one of my favorite places in Florida. I just hope that the fountain was working because sometimes leaves off the grandfather Oak block it. You’re always welcome thank you for your visit!
John’s house is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed, in an excellent location within easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Would stay again. Thanks for the hospitality!

The house has Plumbing issues and cleanliness was sub par. When we had issues (couldn't use any bathroom) the host didn't respond (22hrs later) appropriately. Front gate was wide open when we arrived and locks (we had to put new batteries in) were questionable. The location and historical nature of the house and area was great.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the plumbing issue you encountered during your stay. As soon as we became aware of the problem, we took steps to contact you and have since completed the necessary repairs. We strive to provide every guest with a comfortable experience and regret that we fell short in this case. We have reached out privately to make things right and appreciate the opportunity to learn from this experience.
Unfortunately , we had many issues once we arrived to the property: The keyfab at main gate did not work upon arrival and even after they sent someone to fix it. We luckily found a manual lock and used the code to get into property as we were given the wrong host number which made things a little difficult to get responses when we got there. Then, when we finally made it in , the house had NOT been CLEANED from the previous renters. The sheets on all beds were tossed and towels laid on floors in bathrooms, and trash cans full. Then I was given the previous property manager and she got someone to contact me . The person whom contacted me was very nice and they said they would be out to clean that evening as we were out and we were told we would get a refund for 3 night equivalent for the issues we had, (BUT was given 2 nights once we were there 3 days). However when we got home no one was able to get in since the gate lock didn't work and they did not know about the other gate lock so the home was NOT cleaned till next morning. (GOOD THING WE found extra sheets to make the beds we were sleeping in). After they cleaned the other items noticed: No Ice or Ice trays as icemaker not hooked up, no extra garbage bag (only had 1), no wash cloths for face, and the light in the upstairs bathroom does not work (so our guests couldn't use when they arrived). LOCATION is perfect & patio nice.Very disappointed as i feel the 3 night refund was offered and should had been given.
The house was incredible and in a perfect location where you can walk to many of the attractions. I would stay again at this house next time I am in the area!
Girls trip was a success here, close enough to walk to historic downtown, shops, restaurants, and sites. Great courtyard to hang out in the shade of a big Oak. We enjoyed the house greatly!
We have stayed in many short term rentals over the years and this was the cleanest one we’ve ever stay in. The house was charming and it was perfect for our needs. It was also within walking distance to the historic district. Can’t recommend it enough!
Absolutely beautiful property with alot of attention to detail. Beautifully decorated; spacious and tons of character. Highly Recommended. Would definitely stay again!
We came to town for a family wedding and the house was the perfect quiet getaway for our family. Convenient location - right next to a stop on the trolley line at the Oldest House. A quick walk up the block has you up at the water. Lots of historic charm and the courtyard is beautiful. Also the beds were very comfortable.
This house was amazing for our group of 8. Our 2 families vacation every year and this house and location was the best in a long time. The house was very charming and walking distance of all some great stops in St. Augustine. We'd recommend this for any group with older children.
We lived in St. Augustine for 17 years and came back to visit friends. We have stayed in a few places since we have been gone but decided to stay in a location near downtown. This home had charm, and room and was perfectly located. Stacy was an amazing host that was communicative throughout our stay and leading up to it. It was a great visit and a location we will definitely stay at again.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location and fairly quiet. Lots of history right around the house. Easy walking from downtown. Note that the bathroom on the second floor is a garden style tub and shower and was challenging for the older folks. Other than that, nice place.
We were able to walk to the Old Town quite easily. Parking at the property can accommodate only 2 mid-size cars. Beds were very comfortable. Appliances were in almost new condition.
This 3 story house decorated in dark woods and Spanish pictures and ceramics sleeps 8 and is only a short walk from the harbor and town. It has a marvelous walled patio with an imposing, tall fountain. It is an oddly shaped house inside which is part of its charm. It is well managed and maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much.
