The house was beautiful and historic. It was so convenient to walk into Harpers Ferry or the nearby bakery, market or restaurants. Check-in was easy and the house was clean upon arrival. The firepit was the highlight as we saw lots of wildlife while enjoying it.
We loved this property! The attention to keeping the historical value of the home and blending beautiful modern conveniences was wonderful. It was close to town and other important places we wanted to visit. We would recommend to anyone!
Historic home gushing personality as well as modern ammenities!
Quant historic home within walking distance to Harper's Ferry! Antiques & primitive decor galore! Wonderful porches & outside sitting areas. Well appointed with everything we needed. Very cozy! Thanks for sharing this lovely historic home!
Loved the nicely decorated cozy, comfy two-story carriage house; walkable to restaurants, quiet, accessible to array of sites, several pleasant outdoor spaces to enjoy….delightful stay.
Lovely property and very clean and homey!! Door lock keypad was a bit challenging, but, key was available to open the door!! We had a great time and would love to retfor a longer stay!!
So much charm in this old carriage house. We stayed two nights and loved all of it! Close to downtown Harpers Ferry and a short drive to Shepards town. Food was great in the area.
We loved this house. Enjoyed the 2 bedrooms (since I snore) so hubby could get some rest.
Had everything we needed. Even had a fire one night.
Will be back.
This home is a true gem. We were able to make ourselves at home immediately. Our dog loved the outside space. It is very charming and super clean. A perfect blend of history and modern touches. Walking distance to the historic sites in Harper's Ferry and lots of restaurants. We will be staying again in the future.
We had a wonderful time at this location. The location is close to town and trails, owners communicated well when needed. House is small but accommodates party of 4 comfortably.
We loved our time at the Union Street Carriage Quarters. It was a great retreat for a quiet New Year’s Eve. The space was decorated beautifully for the holiday; it made our time even more special. Can’t wait to plan another trip here in the future.
This was a beautiful home in a superb location for hiking, sightseeing and exploring history! My sister and I had a wonderful extended weekend and I would love to bring my husband back to visit!
This a beautiful historic house located on a quiet street in Bolivar, an easy .5 mile walk to downtown Harpers Ferry. The house is beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and modern anemities. I really appreciated the care taken to maintain some of the original features of the house, such as the beautiful brick herringbone floors on the ground levels. There are two lovely balconies on the street side and a spacious back yard. A relaxing downstairs claw foot bathtub and a convenient upstairs standing shower, up to date kitchen appliances and a nice Tv with access to mutliple streaming services. What surprised me the most was the personal care taken by my hosts. After 2 nights of my stay i experienced a medical emergency and had to return home. I let them know i was sorry to leave early and miss the last night of my stay, but didnt ask for any type of refund. The owners expressed concern and apologies, and voluntarily returned the price of my missed night. Im incredibly greatful and happy to recommend their properties for anyone wishing to enjoy a stay in Harpers Ferry. Note: the vintage furniture and historic features that i appreciate in this home does require some caution for anyone traveling with children, elderly or disabled adults. The stairs are steep and narrow and knobs/locks on cabnits or doors must be handled with care.
We were delighted with the pretty old home, and all the historic details and antiques added to the atmosphere. This was a trip for four cousins and was perfect. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped for what we needed and the beds and sofa were comfortable. It was within walking distance of historic Harper’s Ferry so we didn’t worry about driving many times. We hiked, shopped and enjoyed the restaurants. The only comment we would make is there didn’t seem to be enough hot water for the shower and tub to be working at one time. Also, the wooden mantle upstairs was pretty unstable and fell over once when someone held onto it to go down the stairs. A nightstand or two by the double bed would have been useful too.Thank you for letting us share your cozy property!
This was our third stay here in a short period of time as our house gets renovated. We just love its coziness & cleanliness. Great communication with owners. Highly recommend!
The quality of historical preservation is well done. This house is a great blend of modern and vintage architecture. We enjoyed the two days spent there and it was our favorite place on our West Virginia trip.
This place is exactly what makes Vrbo the best option for accommodation. We had everything we needed and the place had so much character. The front balcony was such a joy to sit and read on in the morning with my cup of coffee. It’s so close to HF proper. My only complaint would be to myself for not staying longer.
