About this property
A Horse Farm Dream
Once in a Lifetime opportunity to live with the horses. You will stay above 15 stalls filled with horses in a beautifully Amish built open concept space. 18 ft wood beams and ceilings bring light and views in from every angle. Two large decks perfect for relaxing day or night. This is a working international competition barn so you will be in and amongst a true horse farm operation. The only neighboring farm is a lovely Amish family, and they stop by often to bring whatever fresh is growing on their farm. You will have full access to the 30 acres and planned access to interact with the horses. These are competition horses so time with them must be supervised. Riding lessons are offered but limited and come with an additional charge. There is absolutely nothing like this available. Feel what it is like to live on 30 acres in the most prized horse country in the United States. This is not a stay this is an experience.

The property was a very unique experience with beautiful scenery and horses that surrounded the property. Keep in mind, the stables with horses is directly beneath the place where you will stay.Although, the place was very charming and unique, it was also filthy. The floor was covered with dog hair and dust, the refrigerator had leftover food and had not been cleaned, my children complained of ants crawling on them as they slept, there was piles of laundry on the floor in one room and bags of trash were left on the porch. This would be a great place to stay if the owners paid more attention to making sure the property was clean.

We are very sorry that you did not have a perfect stay! All your issues are easily addressed. You are correct that the property was not fully prepared. The problem lied with the way in which you booked. You asked to have a dinner party for no more than 15 people at the time of your booking which we allowed. One day before you arrived, without asking you communicated that you had a party planned with 30 people who RSVP'd. Then the party went to just cake and 30 people "just dropping by". This was clearly not allowed, and we should have cancelled your booking. At the last minute, because it was your daughter's graduation we decided despite your dishonest communication to allow the booking because I would rather get a negative review and take the high road than ruin someone's graduation weekend. The last- minute change in allowing your booking to continue caused a delay in the cleaning.
Welcoming hosts, Beautiful property and very comfortable stay. Tech forward accommodations with induction stove, auto control gas fireplace, steam shower, a/c, and fans. Pets welcome. You are living above a barn so “ barn noises” happen. Some unfinished wall painting, but this really doesn’t detract from the family friendly farm stay. We would come back.
This is a wonderful space and area of the country to experience. You are literally staying in a completely redone barn (sleeping over fancy equestrian-trained horses).
The space is amazing with epically high ceilings beautiful light, and horse country all around. For a weekend away it is just perfect.
The hosts were wonderful, leaving fresh brownies and fresh broccoli grown from the Amish family down the road. The horses were beautiful and elegant (although they are being trained so we kept our distance). And the air, light, and layout of the barn (with two decks) made it a delightfully different weekend away.
This was a beautiful place to stay. Our daughter loves horses so this was a dream for her. We met a million dollar horse, and professional athletes. My daughter had a lesson with the owner and was pleased to learn about staying balanced on a horse. We sat by the Amish neighbor's field and watched as he and his children planted the field using a horse drawn wagon. We were close to the Sight & Sound Theatre and saw "David" which was amazing. This location was beautiful all times of day but especially for me in the morning; I got to enjoy watching horses in pasture while I drank my coffee on the porch on a quiet morning in the country.. and while we were there, there was a mother and foal frolicking in the field parallel to our living quarters. We could watch them out of the large window that opened up the living room to the beautiful outdoors. I think we will try to come here again next year!! And every year to come as long as it's available.
We had a memorable weekend celebrating family milestone birthdays. First time staying in a barn atmosphere and we loved it especially my girls. The place was lovely. The owner Larry was so helpful and friendly! Very pretty place spending the weekend with well cared for and top notch horses. The deck and fire pit were relaxing in the evening and great for family time. Would definitely recommend this place for family memories. We really enjoyed our visit. It was worth the trip.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property as soon as we turned into the long driveway. Many people comment on how this place is a little piece of heaven and we agree. Sitting on top of a hill there are sweeping views of the surrounding area. In morning when the fog rolls in you feel as though you could be in the mountains in some other country as you watch the horses graze.
What makes this property unique
You will literally be in the middle and above a working competition barn. In the morning you may be awoken by the call of a horse. You will see horses training for their jumping competition. In the right season you will see the Amish working their fields. At moments you will be taken back in time.
