Enjoy Lake Tahoe from the privacy of this three-bedroom cabin in Homewood. This open-concept gem has plenty of space nestled among tall pines just blocks from the lake. The home is a quick drive from hiking, skiing, and snowboarding, close to shopping and restaurants, and only a couple of blocks to the homeowners' private lake and beach. The home's unique, reverse floor plan gives the upper-level living area a lovely treehouse view of the pines. With wood floors, vaulted beamed ceilings, and a stone, wood-burning fireplace, it all adds up to a cozy, rustic cabin that's perfect for your Tahoe getaway. The primary bedroom has paneled walls and a sliding door with a view of the pines.

Overstuffed couches and chairs surround the fireplace in the upstairs living area, and a 40-inch cable TV will make for cozy evenings by the fire with a movie and good friends. Or have a feast in the dining space adjacent to the living area. The spacious wood trestle dining table has plenty of seating, perfect for meals and family game nights. The kitchen is also open-concept and right next to the dining area for easy serving. It has all the appliances you need to craft meals and snacks, with lots of counter space and bar seating, so you can sit and chat with the cook. The upper level also includes a treetop deck with lounge seating, a grill, and a built-in bench. It's a great space for golden afternoons, with the Tahoe sun filtering through the pines. No matter how you spend your time, active travelers and homebodies will be equally happy here at this classic Tahoe cabin!

Nice dog friendly cabin
So this cabin is all the everyone has said. Yes it is an older house and it creaks a bit and you can hear people walking above you (living room and kitchen) when you are in the bedrooms on the lower level but it is in good shape and fit our two families of 4 very nicely. We loved the long dining room table and the working fireplace in the living room. We loved that they allow dogs. The house is right near river road so easy to get in and out from tahoe City and the local resorts. The kitchen is well equipped. I wish they had washcloths and Kleenex tissue.

Red flag in cleanliness
Not recommended. You can find lots of hair on bed sheet. The bathroom won’t lock. Mice spotted in the utility room. Stairs squeak and interrupt my sleep!

Great house, lots of space
The house had lots of space inside, as well as in the backyard and large outdoor deck. An ideal place for a large group in Lake Tahoe. It was great, with only 2 small downsides: It only had 3 usable parking spots, instead of the 4 it listed, and there is no AC, but luckily the weather was great and we didn't need it.

Great weekend stay!
Late night arrival was welcomed with the string lights in the trees along the walkway. Much appreciated. It is a comfortable cabin and our family enjoyed the great room and fireplace. We hope to rent again.

Amazing Getaway
The home was beautiful, comfortable, and felt magical. My only suggestion would be to be careful coming while it’s actively snowing as this house is up a pretty steep hill. We had some difficulties going up the hill in the snow, but the home was incredible.
