Perfect!! Thanks for staying at our place. We are glad you all had a great time!
Great house! Clean and comfortable. Nice mountain view. We were impressed with everything from the primary bedroom to the deck and sun room. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked plus many games and kid items available to use.We will definitely stay here again.
This home is GORGEOUS. So much space to spread out, but perfectly furnished for cozy gatherings. They thought of everything, with all kitchen needs, household needs (they even had scotch tape I forgot to bring to wrap a gift!!) - comfortable beds and pillows, soft towels with more than plenty for everyone. The bedrooms were spread throughout the house abd plenty of bathrooms for our family of 5. We will definitely stay here again.
Wow what a view, we totally enjoyed the cabin and the area, the cabin is so spacious and comfortable and the view is gorgeous. Hope we get to the area again, we would definitely stay again.
We love staying in this home. The adults loved the deck and the kids enjoyed the downstairs game room. Everyone looked forward to selecting a board game in the evening. The favorite was America Trivia. The homes was nicely appointed with anything you might need and was spotless. The only drawback was the very narrow road to and from the property. But even that wouldn’t keep us from returning when we are back in the area.

Megan, thank you for the review we really appreciate it. I am glad you all had a great time. Look us up next time you come to Sylva. Would love to have you back again.
In Sylva for a wedding and Roamers Respite was the perfect house for our stay. The online pics do not do it justice… it was even better! Hosts, Joe and Tina, have checked every box for a 5 star stay. It was clean, and check in/check out process was a breeze. I had a few questions before our visit and they were answered quickly. Beautiful home in a beautiful area. Will definitely stay here if in that area again!
This was a short business trip but was a nice quick getaway as well. The house was excellent…everything well stocked. Plenty of entertainment or can just relax. Will be back!

Thanks for staying with us Bert, we really appreciate the review and look forward to having you back next time.
Needed place to stay for daughter’s graduation that would accommodate at least 6 people. Lots of towels and blankets. Wonderful views from large deck. Pool table, darts & board games provided lots of fun times.
The property was great and was well stocked with everything you might need so no worries about forgetting something. The location is central to everything in the area. While we were only 2 people there's plenty of space for bigger groups to spread out. Our only issue is the drive up to the property. It's a paved road and if you're in a regular car or SUV you will be fine. However if you're in a large vehicle like our F350 long bed it's not super fun to drive up and down that road. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Thanks so much for the 5 stars, Ramon! We’re glad you found the house well-stocked, spacious, and in a great location.
We hear you on the road—it can feel tight with an extra-long truck like an F350, but most cars, SUVs, and even delivery vehicles (propane trucks, UPS, etc.) make the drive without a problem.
Happy to know you enjoyed your stay, and we’d love to have you back anytime!
The house was amazing with stunning views! Everyone from my teens to my parents had a great time! The location was great and we were able to explore multiple towns and had some great adventures. It was nice they allowed our dogs to be with us for this week long adventure! Amazing host will recommend to family and friends.
Very nice location just outside of Dillsboro, with plenty of restaurants and local art and crafts. Quick response from owners with any issues. Will stay again. Thank you.

About the host
Hosted by Joe
Hello, I grew up in the small northern town of Hinckley Minnesota on a small farm. My wife, Tina grew up in Kimberly Wisconsin about 300 miles apart from each other. We met while I was in the US Navy and stationed in Washington DC as a member of the USN Presidential Honor Guard and she was a nanny for a couple with young children.
After the navy, we moved back to Minnesota, where I got a degree in civil engineering and started my career as a construction project manager. We also started our family with 2 children, one of which just graduated from UW La Crosse with a sports management degree and is now working at the University of North Carolina and my son works for the USPS. We have lived in Appleton WI now for the past 20 years where I am a partner and VP of construction for Hoffman Design & Construction and Tina manages logistics for Kimberly Clark.
Tina and I love to get out on our Harley Davidson and tour the country. We have been riding in some the most spectacular areas of our great country. We have always loved to get out an experience other areas and meet other people and have always encouraged our kids to do the same.
Why they chose this property
We have always stayed at vacation rental properties for our motorcycle vacations. So, on our way back from the Ozarks in Arkansas, Tina and I started talking about us taking on this journey. We searched for a long time, nearly 5 months. We wanted to find a place that could have where we could host our motorcycle friends as well as other adventurers. Tina and I have always been adventurous and curious about the world around us and I am always in learning mode. We have taken our kids all over the country to places like Yellowstone, Washington DC and Boston up through Maine. We have camped and visited tons of state and national parks. So when we were searching for a property we needed to find a place where we could do everything that we have always loved to do. Things like fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, boating, kayaking and hiking. We love to sight see and view all the great vistas that the mountains have to offer. We also wanted a place where we could bring our friends and family that enjoy to do all of those same things.
What makes this property unique
This property can't be more centrally located to everything that Western NC has to offer. The towns of Sylva and Dillsboro boast with some the best restaurants, shopping and breweries. We looked a long time to find a property with a paved road to the front door, that is located up in the mountains with a great view. That was not easy to find so we feel very grateful to have been able to be at this phase of our lives and find a place like this.
