Very enjoyable

We loved the house and the location, plenty of room. Some of the mattresses weren’t real comfortable but the overall stay was excellent. If we come that way again we would surely consider renting the same house

Great place to stay

My group had a great time at this property. Plenty of things to do on the property to keep us engaged during "down time" and enough space for people to be able to do "their own thing."

Wonderful Getaway

This is a beautiful house and a great location to get away from everything. Kim was very helpful even though she was dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. This location in NC needs everyone to step up and visit, spend time in the town, and talk with the locals. They all need our help.

We had a great time in Maggie Valley. The owners of the property were great to deal with. However, we had to clean prior to enjoying our stay.

Good Value Rental

This cabin was great for our needs. Several separate areas for the teenagers (a Boy Scout Troop) to be in so they could be loud without bothering the adults.

Great location and lots of space for our family.

This cabin had great views and great location to Maggie Valley attractions. We enjoy the spacious cabin the pool table and fire pit cooking Smore's . Location could not be better for our family trip to the waterfalls and shops around Maggie Valley. As a family we had a great time and would recommend the puzzle room . All in all we would definitely recommend this cabin.

Anniversary Trip

Our family came together at this location to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We had 15 family members staying at the lodge and didn't feel crowded. The smaller grand kids enjoyed the air hockey game down in the basement. I would highly recommend this cabin for large groups.

Great place for a big family

We had a great time in Maggie Valley. The cabin was conveniently located near main attractions. The accommodations were comfortable. We enjoyed making s'mores in the fire pit and the pool table was a big success. The owners responded immediately to our concern regarding the stove. We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Plum Cabin!

Close to Maggie valley and blue ridge parkway

Nice property for motorcycle riders. Garage housed 4 bikes nicely. Had to back trailer in as there is not much room to turn around on top.. room to park truck and trailer. We didn’t use any other amenities.

Perfect for our trip!!

This house was perfect for our family! We had 7 adults and 5 kids and we were all in town for a wedding in Maggie valley. We had plenty of room and everyone loved hanging out in the game room over the detached garage. It was nice that we didn’t not have to drive up a long steep driveway, especially when it was raining! It was so close to town and when ghost town reopens this house will be perfect due to the close proximity. It was also a quick drive to Cherokee where we visited Santa land during the day and the casino at night. Communication with owner was great and they quickly answered our questions. We loved the house and would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation

We had a great time in Maggie Valley. The cabin was nice except for the mice and privacy. We all saw the mice at least once but they left us alone. The lack of coverings on the windows was interesting. There are blinds but with ANY light on in a bedroom, anyone can see right in. There were no drapes so after a few laughs we decided to change in the bathrooms or with all the lights out. The kids loved playing in the snow at the ski resort and seeing the elk in the valley.

It's a GORGEOUS house; much better than the front picture online!

Kim, our group had wonderful time at your beautiful house. Lots of cute décor and kids love the table pool very much. It's very spacious. Also lots of kitchen cookware but it will be appreciated if paper towel, tissue paper, dishwasher soap can be supplied more. (Yes, we did bring more with us). Few things we noted -Sorry again, it's our first time using Vrbo not be aware enough that we need to sign back the rental contract to get the enter code. -The sheets at few rooms have a bit strong and not pleasant smell. -Few sofa and chairs have some stains Other than that, it's a beautiful house at great location!

Not impressed

Beware if you plan on using the back cabin with the pool table for some of your party to sleep in, because there is no air conditioning. Therefore we could not use it to sleep, so had to make other sleeping arrangements. Be sure to count all towels and wash cloths, we were short 5 towels and wash cloths and were asked by the owner were we had left them. Then realized that the cleaning people must not have left as many as were listed. We enjoyed our time there, but was glad that we were only staying three nights.

There are issues with this property

First I will start by saying that Kim was very easy to work with when we were booking the property. She responded promptly and answered my questions. She also gave an extension on the cancellation time since I was having eye surgery and things were iffy for travel. I will list the pros and cons below. Pros: The house is beautiful to look at and is very spacious. We didn't feel that we were constantly running into each other. The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were not too steep. My son and granddaughter loved the extra building with the pool room and the porch on that level but since it was November and we were told not to leave the baseboard heat on if we were going to be gone, it took quite a while for the room to heat back up so they had to wear their coats for about half the time they were up there. View was great. Cons: Furniture was uncomfortable since seats were so deep. Property listed with air hockey table. Not usable as it had a hole in it and all the pads were gone from the paddles. We were not informed of this even though Kim knew about it. Stairs going down to the garage are rather steep, there is no railing. No railing on rock steps outside front. Some of the sheets were threadbare according to the rest of my family. I brought my own and my own comforter since I am allergic to many detergents. My son bought sheets and a blanket after the first night. My sister brought her own as well. We could not find many blankets and those we did find were dingy or very lightweight. The right side of the kitchen sink leaked. Kim was called and said her husband had just been up to fix it. He didn't do it properly and it leaked all over the floor. There were locked cabinets and dresser drawers everywhere. Kitchen had no storage place for food because both pantry cabinets were locked. Stove needs to be replaced as it doesn't work properly. Dresser downstairs had 2 out of 4 drawers locked. No hangers in downstairs closet. No dressers in upstairs bedrooms. Towel rod in upstairs private bath was broken off the wall and a repair had tried to be done. It was not successful. Downstairs main bath was missing grout on most of shower floor. Blinds on bedrooms are thin and curtains were not to be moved. No hand towels in baths. Mattress pads need to be replaced. Vacuum cleaner was clogged so not sure house was truly clean. Ruts in driveway going to back so vehicle tires didn't make contact with the ground going up. More issues but have run out of space.
